This home and location exceeded our expectations! It was even better than we imagined. Our family had the most amazing trip and created so many wonderful memories together. Everything was comfortable, well-maintained, and perfectly suited for a relaxing getaway. We truly didnât want to leaveâand weâll definitely be back!
Family of 15 members of all ages from 4 to 74 had a wonderful time. The house was extremely well equipped and there was very little we did not have! The dock is well supplied with a canoe and kayaks and we did rent paddleboards from the owner and the kids had a ball. We loved it!
Very well laid out for multi-generational family. Basement game room and ping pong were well used. Could use additional spoons and some folding chairs in main level so that did not need to pull seats in from living room or porch to sit more than 8 at the table.
House was beautiful and roomy. Kids loved games. Found a broken chair in master and patio door would not open. Kitchen was extremely well stocked to cook or bake anything. Some items were dirty, but that falls on whomever used them last. Disappointed that dock/stair lights did not work all week. Hard to park the boat in the dark. Could hardly believe we had to pay extra for the sheets. Overall a good trip.
Spacious lake front home in a secluded wooded location on quiet cove on Leesville Lake. Our family group of 12 adults and teens had plenty of room for sleeping, dining, relaxing on the large deck and enjoying the impressive game room. Kitchen area was well stocked of everything needed for preparing meals. Everyone loved using the kayaks and dock area for sunbathing, swimming and fishing. Pontoon boat rentals are close by in local marina and great for exploring the large lake. With our entire week in 90 deg temps, the house AC worked great and dock area was shaded and comfortable with the cool lake breeze. The owner Dustin and assistant Tab were very responsive and helpful with our questions! Would definitely recommend this home for a memorable vacation.
Beautiful home with a plethora of space and amenities. Didnât get to indulge in using the outdoor equipment due to graduation schedule but maybe next time. The kids (and adults) definitely enjoyed the game floor. Excellent communication with host.
Beautiful lake view nestled up on hill. Perfect weather although cabin is stocked with many things to do. Spent days on lake, fishing, catching up with good friends! Nights spent relaxing with starry views.
This home is beautiful and the location is perfect. It does seem like furnishing / equipping it was an afterthought. Many things were broken or didnât work. Furnishings were slim and we had to move tables around to create nightstands. House sleeps 16 and table seats 4. There are no casserole dishes, serving bowls etc for a large party.
3 bedrooms were mislabeled and guests ended up sleeping on the floor. Host didnât seem to care and was very slow to reply.
If you stay here, plan ahead. And rent a boat! It made our week!
Wonderful place for graduation weekend with family!
We were able to have all our families come in from NY, WA, OH and CO and stay while we had two graduate fro Liberty. The house had plenty of room, lots of fun games and being on the lake was wonderful.
Thank you!
Lovely house. Plenty of space for everyone the âkidsâin the family loved the games room in the basement. Some areas inside could have been cleaner. Crumbs on a recliner. Many light bulbs were not working. The 2 ovens were extremely dirty and many of the pots, pans and baking trays need to be replaced. The outside could do with some cleanup work.
Everyone enjoyed there stay. Lots of cooking playing games and family time. The weather was great so we had some time sitting on deck and some padding boating. Great weekend!
We loved our stay here!! We spent the week with extended family and never ran out of things to do. The lake was a perfect temperature to swim and we had so much fun with the provided kayaks and paddle boat. We also loved the downstairs game roomâŠbig hit with the kids!! The cabin was very clean and well appointed with most anything you would need.
We also had a great experience renting a pontoon boat from the marina thatâs close by and had a blast using that during the week.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all the house had to offer. Leesville lake is just the spot for a quiet fun filled family vacation. The kids loved jumping off the dock and kayaking. The gameroom was enjoyed by adults and kids! The only thing I would suggest is a larger dining table for those of us that maximize the space!
The whole experience was great and we were excited and happy to be able to share your home for our celebration/vacation.
The house is in need of some repairs. Screens were torn and ripped, furniture needs to be repaired and updated. Outside patio furniture needs to be replaced or repaired.
House was amazing and very clean, it worked perfectly for my family! Kids had a blast with the arcade room and the private dock was beautiful and worked perfectly with my jet skiâs! Definitely will consider re-booking in the future.
Our family of 11 adults and teenagers enjoyed our week at this beautiful rental on Leesville Lake. I mistakenly thought it was on Smith Mountain Lake since that was the location I had entered in the search box. The downstairs game room is phenomenal. We had hoped to go for walks in the area, especially around the lake. That is not possible. My husband and I are in our late 70s and found the long steep stairway to the lake to be challenging. The kayaks got lots of use and the lake was just fine for swimming.
We rented this property for a multigenerational family trip. There were 16 of us, 4 couples, 1 nearly teenager, 4 between 6-10 yrs, and 3 kids under 4 years. This cabin was set up perfectly to accommodate us. Each couple had a private bedroom that was big enough to share with the youngest kids, the nearly teen had her own space, and elementary aged kids loved the kids cabin room. The basement was the real hero on the rainy days and the kitchen/common spaces were large enough to share comfortably.
The dock is really nice, but it was down about 5 flights of steps. No problem for the adults and older kids, but the younger ones struggled. The muddy beach area that is pictured wasn't easily accessible from the shore, so there wasn't a good wade in option for the littlest kids. We ended up visiting Smith Mtn state park for a beach day just for a change of pace. This is a pretty isolated property so bring your own entertainment. The Leesville Lake Marina is about 1/4 mile away on the water, but it's a 15 min drive. There is a restaurant there, but it wasn't impressive enough to visit more than once.
The owner was helpful and responsive. We had some significant internet issues while we were there and he was very helpful and involved in the resolution attempts. There were 4 kittens under the front porch, too! They were cute and fun.
