This place was so bad i left after the first night. Could not get a refund from them and expedia did not follow through after attempting to reach them with no reply. Dissapointing. Couldnt even check out to attemp to refund the 1 day. Dirty unsafe and disgusting. My wife was mortufied.

This was the dirtiest room I have ever been in. There were cigarette burn holes in the sheets, blankets and bedspread. There was cigarette smoke smell coming into the room all night. The carpet was sticky and stained. The curtains were shredded, had to clip the together. The bathroom was the only clean place. I’ve been deployed to 3rd world countries that were cleaner than this hotel.

No shades on the lamps. NO bottom in one of the dresser drawers. Clothes fell on the floor. Room set at 63. two stink bugs and one fairly big spider greeted me. And that was the UP GRADED room they gave me.

I heard they renovated this place so gave it another chance. Arrived to find my room lock was inoperable. Staff could not get in either so she kindly offered a room that had a flooding problem. Carpet was wet, bed was soft but clean sheets and HVAC worked well.

Horrible Service, Place is a Dump

Arrived tired at 10:30pm and the room was pre-paid. It stank like weed when I entered the lobby. Front desk person did not arrive back to desk for 15 minutes. Upon checking in, I realized that my driver’s license was not in my wallet. I had an expired license and a picture of my current license that I was willing to email them as a backup. The front desk person kept repeating that it was hotel policy and then she couldn’t check me in without a physical copy of my actual ID. She was unwilling to budge, even though I told her that the license was 4 hours away and that I had nowhere else to stay. She didn’t care. I asked to speak to the manager on duty, she said that she was unavailable at the time. She wouldn’t check me in no matter what and threatened to call the police as I plead my case. I found a hotel an hour north who would take an email of my ID and printed a copy. The Super 8 in Groton was a dump and the place I found was much better. But ended up paying for 2 hotels.

Other than the carpet, the room was clean & comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is old and outdated and smelled like old smoke. We never saw or heard anyone vacuum for 3 days. Breakfast is basically a choice of 2 snacks, coffee and juice. It was okay for a quick stop but its definitely not for long term or a vacation. I would go back if nothing else was available but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Front desk staff are nice, parking availability is good, housekeeping is good, but our room felt “wet”, “moist”. As if there was mold. However there was no sight of mold anywhere! The carpet floor felt weird and isn’t in the best condition. Also many things weren’t great. Cracked/bloated wood, things painted very messy, etc. The best thing was the shower pressure and its ability to be hot or cold in an instant, also the staff is very accommodating in providing extra towels and pillows.
