We stayed in GDL for a wedding and selected to stay at the Hard Rock Friday- Monday. We thoroughly enjoyed the friendliness, drinks and spacious rooms. While there are lots of dining options on the property they were not impressive or worth the price tag.

This was my first time at the HR Hotel chain. At Check in i got a free upgrade from twin bed room to 1 queen size room. My new room was 2nd floor opposite to the elevator, so i was not impressed about that. There must be a train line next to the hotel as all night i could hear the train horn going which was pretty annoying. Breakfast is okey, but i was expecting bigger variety food. i tried the pool on the roof top. it has limited seating area and the pool PVC material is coming away at the edge. The hot tub in my bedroom didnt work, the plug would not stay so could not fill the tub up. So this small little annoying things but the service was spot on and everybody was lovely. Not sure if i would like to go back again even though i am going back to GDL soon for 2 more weeks.

We had a nice experience at the Hard Rock. I really liked that they have live music in the lobby, the restaurant and the brewery. Convenient to have a night cap on the premises. We did have a bad experience with room service since the food arrive at room temperature and the potatoes were cold, almost as if they had just taken them out of the fridge. We were not able to eat them. Food in general was mediocre.
