We really enjoyed our stay at the Stables. It was very tranquil. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. The property was clean and comfortable. Two highlights to mention. The laundry facilities were excellent. There is also a very pleasant walking path from the Stables to Shere that takes about 1 hour. For those not used to driving on narrow English roads, be sure to come in from the north through the village of Farley Green.
Lovely rental, we took our small dog and it was safe and enclosed for her to wander around the garden. Place was very clean and beds were really comfy. Host Lynley was very welcoming and helpful. We saw x2 deer in the field each morning, squirrels on the fence and had a pheasant in the garden on the last morning. Loved being so close to nature and used the outside bath tub on the first night. Definitely recommend.
Very comfortable accommodation. Good shower and bathroom facilities. Good size separate laundry room. Outside bath good on hot days. Plenty of Surrey Hills country walks. Dog friendly. Good when looking for some peace and quiet for a few days away
Oh my, what a lovely place to stay. Two weeks we stayed here with my family of 4. Beautiful property, clean and modern but still feels country. We saw deers, horses everyday, my kids loved it. I sat in the garden every morning and listened to the birds, then went on a walk as you are right in the woods, itâs so cool. About 10 mins to Shere village, and there is a few train stations near by. Host was great, available whenever I needed. All the times I have visited to see my family this is the best place to stay, including when I stayed in shere. Iâm coming back in a few years and this is the only place I will stay. Internet worked great, board games, outside bath the kids relaxed in, kitchen was great, laundry and everything I need also like bags, freezers, iron etc, and parking is a dream. I canât recommend it highly enough, we have had a dream.
We had such a lovely time at the stables, it had everything we needed including high chair, travel cot and off road buggy for our 9 month old. A massive plus was the totally enclosed garden for our two dogs, one is very nervous and reactive and this was his first stay away from home. The quiet surroundings and private feel was perfect, and the woods on the door step was very handy. The outdoor bath was lovely and having a gas BBQ was a big plus. Hosts were great and gave advice on walks too, and the king size bed was extremely comfortable! I have already recommended this place to friends!
The Stables was clean, quiet and well equipped for our stay. We enjoyed the privacy and the tree lined street to get to our place. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. We loved using the washer and electric dryer.
This was the perfect place to bring our future son in-law to get his taste of beautiful rural England . We have lived in Australia for 30 years and organised a wonderful family reunion in Lynleys beautiful converted stables.Lynley was so helpful with all our organisations and nothing was too much for her . The peace and quiet and fabulous walks from the back of the property were amazing . I would definitely recommend this property
Beautifully appointed property. The general location was lovely but the final approach is on a rough lane. It is ok as long as you drive slowly. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The purpose of the stay was to promote wellbeing for a family member who has been suffering from depression. The green and peaceful location plus the outside bath certainly hepled in that regard.
This place was exactly what we needed. Even in February, which is not the most pleaant of months, this was a glorious spot. Lovely and quiet, with great views of the stars. Best of all, it is located within walking distance of some great pubs amid gorgeous countryside. The accommodation is spotless, comfortable, and well laid out. The outdoor bath is great fun and a really nice touch. We would definitely recommend this place and will be back again to enjoy it ourselves.
