We wanted to see a new part of the island than we usually stay at and so extended our trip by a few days and stayed here on the northern side of the island. It's quieter, relaxed but close enough to Kahului to easily go to dinner.
This would be a perfect place but needs a deep clean, some fresh paint and some up dates. The neighborhood is quiet. Mo was so nice and responded to my call the day of check in at 7 am when I had not received check in instructions. More direction on parking would be helpful. If the u it had a sink along the kitchenette or a deeper bathroom sink, that would be helpful for making coffee and washing dishes. Overall our stay was great.
The sliding doors to the decks were "interesting." They need work. Otherwise, the communication with the owner was excellent. And the space was funky-cool. The Thai food truck in nearby Haiku was a revelation.
Nice apartment in quiet residential area. AC worked well. Short drive to restaurants, grocery and several beaches. A small check in issue was quickly redolved by staff. They were excellent to work with.
We stayed here after flying into Kahului and before heading to HaleakalÄ NP the next morning. We didnât stay long but the room fit our needs perfectly. It was a little warm in the room when we arrived but we were able to cool it down quickly when we got the AC going.
The place was large, clean and well located in a quiet town near the airport. We had a surprise though with no sink in the kitchen, only in the bathroom, with the small fridge, and with the table for 2 while we were 4. A toaster would have been nice, and be aware that there is no oven, just 2 induction rounds. This being said, I would certainly recommend this place for a low budget lodging versus what you get in return. Thanks.
Was a very short stay. Basically a place to lay my head once getting to the island from the air port. Nice and quiet. Had everything we needed. Would stay again.
The location was amazing. Floyd was very responsive when i called as the automated system didnt send the check-in codes. Super friendly and dropped everything to help. The building was older but relatively clean. Could use a good dusting in all the nooks and crannies. Really great to stay in for our trip up to Haleakala!
The main page listing says check in is at 3pm, but a separate message states 4pm and the door code is sent at the last minute. The direction link/address tries to take you to Ahonui Pl but itâs the next street and the units can be sort of confusing between 64 and 66. However, the hosts are great and help you figure it all out. Otherwise the location and amenities were PERFECT! We loved our stay.
The property was comfortable, clean and spacious. Floyd was a responsive and very helpful host. Despite his recommendation in his email instructions to print out check-in materials ahead of time (which I did) I proceeded to leave the printouts on my xerox machine at home :( As he mentioned in his email note, the wifi is spotty in Haiku so I initially couldn't download the code to enter. I messaged him and he immediately answered was very helpful, friendly, and welcoming of my call even though it was late at night. I appreciated his attentiveness and concern for my safety. The surroundings are tranquil and quiet. I highly recommend this property!
Finding the place was a bit of a chore with an evening arrival - more lighting is needed in the parking area, and also some signage on apartment numbers - at least we didn't see any signs and had to randomly go in doorways until we saw something we recognized fr the online instructions. Actual apartment was as expected, and communication with the manager was very responsive
