Guests were smoking on patios making the area in front of the hotel, the courtyard, and main floor hallway smell of smoke. We requested to be moved away from first floor area due to the strong hallway smell. There was no on site security overnight like most locations we stay at. The neighbours were very loud and we had to call police after hours of disturbances.

We were not told the hot tub was out of order. My husband is disabled and because our room was so far from the elevator, we used the stairs. We found out after changing and getting down there, it was not working!!! The pool was like ice, so after driving all day, we were “sorely” disappointed. It was not mentioned on their site or I would not have booked it. We were told it had been out over a week. We were looking forward to eating in the restaurant on site, another reason we picked this hotel, only to find out it was closed. Breakfast was ok, our other request in a hotel.

Awkward layout, depending on room location it’s a lot of walk to get to elevators and your room, especially with small children. Rooms are dated which is fine. Unfortunately our tub leaked, and there was a leak in the roof of the hallway on our floor. The pool also could of used a good vacuum. The building was under renovation on the first floor which is fine but I feel like the price should reflect this. However, the staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. Our room was also very clean. And we enjoyed the breakfast.

Hockey kids were running around everywhere. One kid was using ice from the ice machine to wash his hands! That im sure is a health and safety issue!! I would not stay there again.

Do not stay here if there is a boys hockey tournament in town as numerous teams stay here and it becomes chaos. Young boys were running around every single floor, screaming, slamming doors, playing mini sticks, throwing ice, etc. This continued to until after "quiet hours". A mini stick game was going on directly outside my door and when I called down to the front desk, I was told they were too overwhelmed with the amount of noisy kids to do anything. After further slamming of sticks, yelling, etc, I called again and the front staff did come up and made the kids go to their rooms. However, I believe the front staff told the individuals it was my room who complained as the next night, I heard the kids say they planned to hit my door with mini sticks since I was the quiet room ruining their game. And they did. Every 30 minutes until midnight. At one point I suspect an adult also aggressively knocked on the door. As a solo female traveler, I felt anxious to even leave my room the next morning. I've traveled all over the world and stayed in many hotels and this has been my worst experienced with noise and feeling unsettled in what is supposed to be a safe and restful space. I understand the parents are responsible for their kids rather than the hotel staff, but they do need to enforce some rules to ensure all guests are treated with respect, not just the hockey teams. I will not stay here again, nor do I recommend it.

Toilet would not flush properly without taking the back off and manually refilling. Kids playing hockey in the halls past 10pm. Paid extra for a late check out time and still got woken up by reception calling me. Cards were deactivated and I needed to go to reception to remind them about late check in and to reactivate door keycard.
