My daughter and I had such a good time staying in this cottage. We cooked dinner twice in the cottage and found the kitchen incredibly well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, and plenty of spices. The house is exactly as described and the location is perfect for walking into town for restaurants. You canât go wrong staying here!!
Pros: the house is lovely, and we found it to be clean. Even though the host was out of town during our stay, she was helpful and responsive to emails. The kitchen is well stocked. There are a variety of board games. The front porch is a nice place to sit and read. The windows have screens, so we enjoyed turning the A/C off and enjoying the cool breezes. Leaving a bottle of wine for us was such a thoughtful gesture. Cons: The towels need to be replaced as they are quite thin and worn. I suggest you bring a box of tissues as there were none in the house. Please be aware that the parking spot is around the corner so you might want to park your car right out front while loading and unloading. We certainly recommend this vacation home in the sweet town of Hammondsport. It is a great base for time in the Finger Lakes.
My 2 girlfriends and I stayed for 2 nights in August. The accommodations were impeccable. The Curtiss Bungalow was clean and bright. It was a very spacious home in a very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen and bathrooms were stock with utensils, cleaning products and small appliances. All you need to bring is your food!My girlfriends and I have talked of coming back and we will recommend this bungalow to our friends!Thank you owner for a great stay!
This is a lovely two-bedroom two-full-bathroom home on a quiet residential street in a charming village. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The home itself was spotless. Perfect for a long weekend stay!
Communication with Megan was excellent. I made several suggestions about tweaks the place could use, and she seemed receptive. The only real issue we had was the size of the beds. Queen in main bedroomâŠno problem, although the room could take a king. The other bedroom had only a double bed..I just assumed it would be a queen since the ad said âsuitable for two couplesâ. Luckily our friends who came for two nights were small people. That room could take a queen size bed. The second bathroom was downstairs, but it had a terrific shower. The living room could use some rethinking of the sofa (just two recliners in a sofa?) and an extra chair so 4 adults could congregate. Kitchen was very well outfitted, and the washer/dryer was very large and worked well. We ate all of our meals outâŠ.excellent little breakfast/ice cream store downtown about 0.4 mile walk.
Megan's house was an enjoyable stay. Just as pictured in listing, located in a nice, quiet neighborhood where I was able to walk to a restaurant and go for a run. Plenty of space for two couples, and the house was clean and well kept. Lots of supplies in the kitchen for cooking. Would recommend to others!
Nice clean quaint place with everything you need for a lovely quiet weekend. Short walks to restaurants, antique stores, bakery and wine bar. Vineyards, distilleries and breweries within a short drive.
