We had a very comfortable stay. The house was very well and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for an easy stay. Beds were comfortable, house was clean and location wonderful for beach and bay walks. Owner was quickly responsive and all was good! A great house.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay (3 adults and 2 kids)! Super cute house and great location. The outdoor shower was a plus after a day at the beach. The location is to the beach and restaurants. The host was amazing and even left a snack basket which the kids loved! We would definitely stay there again!

Great vacation house

Nice clean place with easy check in/check out. Nice neighborhood close to the beach and fishing pier. Host was very accommodating to early check in. Would stay again next time I’m in the area.

Great little spot by the beach

We had a wonderful visit to this bungalow near Buckroe Beach. They’ve done a great job maximizing the small space to make it comfortable and fully equipped for guests. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to be near the beach!

Amazing family-friendly spot!

My family of 4 (9 yo & 11 yo) enjoyed every moment of our vacation! All were amazing and we would definitely return. The house is amazing, I actually left a whole bag of stuff in my car because everything we needed was already here! We went to the air & space museum, beach, and Stuft. Great time in a great space.

I absolutely loved the house, the layout, decor, the beautiful flowers, and it has so much lighting that came through. I felt like I was at home. The house was clean stocked with everything that you would need and most of all it was just a few blocks from the beach. Couldn’t ask for anything better I would gladly stay again.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!

This place is perfect! It’s a super short walk to the beach, a well appointed and tastefully decorated bungalow, and close to Hampton, Williamsburg, Norfolk, VA Beach and all the area activities. The hosts are super easy to communicate with and have really tried to think of everything to make you feel like you’re at home away from home! We definitely will be staying at The Gray Pelican again!

Clean & organized! Close to beach!

I really appreciated all of the extra touches- we had everything we needed and more! My boys especially loved the snack basket. Everything was nicely labeled and organized. The house was very clean and well decorated. The beach is just 2 blocks away and easy to walk to.

The rental was wonderful! The location was perfect for days at the beach and a short drive to some great restaurants. Our group consisted of six, ages ranging from 20 to 80. We all loved the assortment of games (we had daily competitions - winner got to choose the next day’s restaurant) and the delicious snacks at our arrival. Amy was amazing to work with, and so thoughtful to let us know the lawn company was coming. We had such a lovely time!

This little house is a real gem! Clean and well stocked with any and everything you would want or need. Definitely a must if you’re in the area of Hampton. Beautiful, very short walk to Buckroe beach.

We wanted to stay near the beach while we were in town house hunting and this place was amazing!!!! The house is beautiful and the owners thought of every need a vacationer might have. There were just two of us but I couldn’t easily see sharing this property with another couple or bringing small children.

A lovely retreat

We loved it!!! We cannot say wnough about our stay at The Grey Pelican!!! It was inviting, comfortable, and cozy. A little slice of heaven. The hosts were friendly and we even had a welcome basket. Right near the beach and the street was quiet. Definitely is a great spot!

Perfect home to stay In

This was our first time renting a home and & I was very impressed. Our experience while staying there was perfect, they provided everything we could have possibly needed and made us feel like it was our home. The location was perfect, a short little walk to the beach, ice cream shop at the end of the street, & the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. We made so many memories and we ended up staying another night. The home was decorated so beautiful and my granddaughter who is 6 loves all of the extra amenities they provided. Thank you for a great vacation!

Swim Meet in Hampton

We traveled to Hampton for a swim meet and opted to rent this house instead of staying in a hotel just so we had more space. We are so glad we did! The house is spotless, incredibly organized, and had everything we needed for our stay. We especially loved all the labeled cabinets! The beds were comfortable. Clearly, this house is a labor of love and the owners were very thoughtful in every detail. Thanks for making traveling with kids a little bit easier!

very cozy, definitely coming back!

Was in Hampton visiting friends and family, and found this new listing 5 minute walk from Buckroe Beach!! I was traveling alone this trip, but this is definitely a place I will return to with my family. It was very clean, nicely equipped, and has lots to keep the kids occupied! The owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I actually needed nothing from them. Loved the beach theme too!! The bed I used was great, did not lose any sleep at all. If you need a place in Hampton, check out the Gray Pelican!!

Great property, great host!

Absolutely LOVED our trip! The house was exactly what's listed, if not better. Amy was so communicative and responsive before, during and after our trip which made it even better. The thoughtful touches that were included when we first walked in were so sweet, and the house had the perfect mix for kids and adults to be happy and comfortable. It's a quick walk to the boardwalk and beach which was amazing with the kids, and the beach was calm and clean with a fun playground too. We would love to visit Buckroe again and definitely will be rebooking! The kids even said they didn't want to go home because they loved the house so much! Thanks again Amy!

An oasis near the beach!

This place is spectacular. The hosts thought of everything! There were six of us, but the place is so thoughtfully organized that it felt spacious and peaceful. We cooked, we grilled, we fished, we beached, and we had whatever we needed at our fingertips. Throughout the house, you'll find relaxing beachy decor and beautiful little touches, like lighted closets, games for kids, wireless chargers, a variety of utensils and servingware, appliances. TVs in every room! We are a low screen-time family, but after an exhausting day of activities, it's great that everyone can retreat to different rooms for a little down time without fighting over the remote :) The best vacation rental we've ever stayed in -- no contest!
