Diese 4BD / 4BA Haus ist um einen erhöhten offenen Grundriss errichtet, die fĂŒr Familienfeiern oder gnĂ€dig unterhaltsam ideal ist. Die voll ausgestattete Gourmet-KĂŒche mit top-of-the-line-GerĂ€ten und Granit-Arbeitsplatten ist ideal fĂŒr intime Mahlzeiten oder große Diners. A lovely view

We enjoyed our week long stay at King Hale. The property has beautiful views and plenty of room for our group of 9 to spread out. We enjoyed lounging on the outdoor patio overlooking the ocean and reading books. Every morning, we would wakeup to the sunrise and open the accordion doors to get the breeze going thru the living areas (only the bedrooms have AC). The location allowed us access to all of the beauty Kauai has to offer. It is about 45-60 mins from the airport and you can see many of the best places to shop and eat on the ride. Hanalei is a short drive and has a ton of options for food and shopping. Our on island host was very responsive when we had a maintenance item to be addressed. I should add to this review that if you are traveling with children, using the basement bedroom may not be the best option. I read that it had a separate entrance, but I did not realize that meant it could not be accessed at all from the main part of the house. My kids are in their teens, but it still made me nervous that they would have to go outside, up the stairs and through the front door to find me in an emergency. The pull out couch in the basement (one of the sleeping options) could also use a refresh. Lastly, we were very cautious with our noise level (as we always are), since there was a host note left in one of the master bedrooms saying the "neighbor is very sensitive to noise". This may not be the best house for your stay, if your group is on the louder side.

Breezes from Heaven

Your home was beautiful and perfectly placed. I can't thank you enough for allowing us the privilege of staying there. The home itself was stunning. We did express some concerns to the property manager and while he immediately got back with us, he failed to remedy any issues brought to his attention. Lack of window coverings in the 3rd upstairs bedroom, blinds that would not allow us to open and close them/lower or raise without such a struggle that we were afraid to break them. T.V. that was not opperable in 3rd bedroom upstairs, T.V. in main living quarters had a blue line through the center, doors that would not close or could notbe locked, plantain shudders in 1 master bath that were held together with zip ties and could not be opened, shower head in master bath had a makeshift showerhead holder that made it a constant challenge to get directional accuracy for 6'4" adult and 5'6" adult. (water shot straight out at one height adjustment or the other) Difficulty getting range to light due to igniter needing to be changed for burners, lawn chairs rusted out and daughter with back injury had issue after sitting on one that collapsed. Providing you this list is more for your records so that the issues can be addressed. This home is exquisite and desires the needed attention to keep it in top condition. Knowing that many of these are related to climate, I hope that issues will be addressed so that the home itself gets the attention that it deserves. Mahalo

Kauai Caper 2025

First, the house is spectacular. Views are amazing. Huge kitchen. Plenty of room for 4 adults to lounge about and not feel crowded. Quiet neighborhood. We saw 2 monk seals within walking distance while here! All other reviews mentioned the blinds. They still don’t work. The grill is WAY past its prime, and we didn’t think it was usable. The driveway gate looks like it hasn’t been closed in years, and the electric boxes at the gate were rotted out, so don’t count on that as extra security. All that being said, we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!! So beautiful!!

Perfect serene location

Our family of five stayed for Spring Break at King Hale. It was exceptional. It is the perfect serene location where we barely saw anyone else but had constant ocean views. There were flowers everywhere. We could hear the waves while we were sleeping. The kitchen was one of the best equipped of any VRBO we have used. There were also many supplies left (sunscreen, salt, pepper, olive oil, etc) from other vacationers that made our stay easier. We didn't use the lower floor bedroom because it was a separate entrance but we did use the gym, which was a nice addition. We would definitely stay here again!

Great gathering

3 generations plus one wedding engagement had a memorable time. It was great being right in front of the ocean. House had great accommodations for six ( main house) Ok accommodation for 3 (lower level) and couch bed for #10 which is fine for a younger person. View and large living/ dining was worth it.

A Slice of Heaven

The property is absolutely gorgeous. We were a family ranging in ages from 1-85. Between the upstairs spaces and the downstairs apartment everyone had a place of their own. The power did go out once but Kevin responded quickly. We learned that part of the house runs on solar so the refrigerator and oven came back on pretty quickly. We had a local chef, Thomas Ryan, cooking for us that evening. He just went with the flow... It was one of the best meals I have ever had in an amazing location.

Glorious house and Vacation

King Hale has got to be one of the best places to stay in the North of Kauai. The kitchen is huge... with many working spaces available for many people to be preparing dinners. Great appliances, cookware, and the knives were amazing (usually in a rental, I find cheap dull knives). The wifi is very strong... six of us were all working at the house with great internet speeds. The house is equipped with many beach chairs, boogey boards, snorkel equipment, beach towels, and even a few pairs of water shoes. The concierge hooked us up with a message therapist that came to the house. The only challenge we had was that the house is fairly remote, and we didn't want to drive 1-1.5 hours one way to get to the South and west of the island for dinners or to boating and snorkeling tours out of Elee or Port Allen. We were in Kauai in March... a little too early for boating out of the North Shore. The cute town of Hanalei is a 15 min drive - shopping, grocery, and restaurants. Hanalei bay is a fabulous beach where you can take surf lessons and snorkel. Hanalei dining - Make reservations ahead of time for Bar Acuda and Ama, Postcards is nice too. Dolphin has a wonderful fresh fish market (get there early for already prepared foods like Poki and rolls. Dolphin restaurant is first come first serve dining- lots of variety on the menu and nice servers. We also enjoyed horseback riding at Princeville Ranch, Golfing at Princeville Makai club, Kayak and hiking tour at Alii Kayaks (an absolute must), Mountain Tubing Adventure, snorkeling at Tunnels beach, hiking the sleeping dragon. There is so much to do on Kauai!

AMAZING!

From the moment we walked in, we knew we made the right decision to stay at King Hale
.the views from the home onto the beach were breathtaking! We came to celebrate our Anniversary, wanting someplace special, and we found it here. The location was perfect for long beach walks
Tunnels and Haena close by. Hanalei a short drive away for fun kayaking on the river. We invited two other couples to join us and there was plenty of room for all of us. They were pleasantly surprised at their accommodations for their stay with us. The kitchen is perfectly set up with everything you could need. The home is well stocked with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay

..we were thankful that the home has solar! Our only concern was the next door neighbor who would fly his drone directly in front of the property. We noticed it on several occasions. We have stayed at other locations on Kauai, but by far, King Hale surpasses them all. We would stay here for our next getaway to Kauai! Mahalo!

Family Vacation

Beautiful views

My family of 4 spent the week in this beautiful home and loved it! It is well equipped, clean and is in an amazing location. We were able to see the sunrise and sunset almost every day. We did have trouble working the main TV. Sometimes it worked and other times it didn’t, and not sure why. We did contact Ian, and he was willing to send someone out the next day, but magically the TV worked on its own so it wasn’t needed. We did enjoy walking to Tunnels Beach for snorkeling, walking for coffee or dinner and star gazing at night. Such a great place for star gazing! Would definitely recommend staying here if you want some peace and quiet for relaxing.

Absolutely stunning property

This house exceeded our expectations, and we had pretty high expectations! The only complaint is the bottom floor does have a mildew-type smell, but my brother who slept down there said it wasn’t too much of a bother for him. Truly everything else about this property was absolute perfection, we cannot wait to come back!

A tropical gem!

The house was exactly as you see it in the pictures. Plenty of space and a great kitchen! The beach out front is rocky, but just a short walk to the left or right and you will find sandy beaches. Nice quite neighborhood and Lu (property manager) was awesome!
