Stayed deluxe double 504 with balcony that has chairs and a table at front of hotel. Good size and facilities. Some noise from passing trains starting 4.20 am but not a problem. Lift (elevator) to all levels.
Breakfast was choice of eggs, bacon, sausage or bland pho. Fruit and bread or baguettes . Would stay there next time in Hanoi.
There was no hot water, the room was dirty and the water dropped all night

Pleasant staff...
Hotel staff were very helpful ..good location the city is a bit repetitive...
It's the north so expect plenty of rain and not sun at this time of year...hotel breakfast a big let down very poor ...
I guess the price of the hotel reflects this ...

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
It was really nice but we felt that we were placed in the basement which had limited WiFi and was next door to the staff's room so became somewhat noisy. On the whole the staff were nice and the room was tidy.
Really nice staff who spoke good English and were very helpful. Room was nice and clean and serviced daily. Good place to stay. I would definitely return.
First room was bad, big hole in the doors, bathroom had bad smell. We asked for different room, was nicer but taking a shower caused flooding in the bathroom.
We were able to check in sooner than expected. Able to do a room upgrade for a small fee. City view was good. Breakfast was very good made to order with some buffet style options.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Good location but the hotel is old, room is small.
Air conditioner was not working on the first night. It took 3 times to get some result after some loud discussions with hotel staff. Finally got hold of the owner who moved us to a different room for our Fourth and final night ever in this hotel

Good value for the money, great location.
I arrived at 2am in the morning and the car was there to pick me up as prearrange. Although I was stuck with a very small room the first night, the AC was already turned on, and I had a good night sleep. I was upgraded to a much larger room the next two nights. No drinking water was provided, and I felt the price charged for the water bottle in the "mini bar" was too high at three times the regular price. The shower in the small room was falling apart, but the larger one was much better. The Landmark was a good value, typical family-run mini-hotel in a very convenient and relatively quiet location.

Liked: Staff & service
Hotel close food and restraunt
Shower head not working bathroom sink need cleaning
We started off on the wrong foot at the hotel and encountered a staff member who apparently couldn't care less (his attitude changed drastically after our first encounter). The air conditioning was inefficient which resulted in uncomfortable nights. The train goes past the area frequently and you can hear the signal horn as well as the clanking of the wheels as it goes past the area.
However, not all is bad. There was a nice lady at the counter who treated us well. The breakfast tasted good and well, there is an elevator in the building.

Lots of potential
Could be a really nice hotel. The building and rooms themselves are nice, but just need a little bit more love and attention. There were two lights in our bathroom and one was really dull and the other didn't work at all. We complained but they said they were very sorry but didn't have a replacement bulb so I guess it was okay. Then the shower came off the wall so we asked to change rooms and were changed immediately. However in the new room, the wardrobe door was broken. It seems like every room would have small faults! However the staff are absolutely lovely and so helpful and kind, they do their best to help.
I had a standard room booked but upgraded to superior.
Breakfast was nice :)
First night we had no hot water but staff was so nice and helpful and moved us to another room.
Breakfast is very good (taste and size).
Room was worth the pricce but not more.
As said, staff was super.
overall stay was good but room was small.
Breakfast was good and helpful staffs. It's good hotel to stay for short period of time and for budget travellers.
Location was good.
On arriving the staff had felt we had under book, and actually stated it was a hotel used by backpackers, if so it was expensive for back packers. We upgraded our room at an additional cost.
The bathroom flooded everyday from using the shower.
As we have not really viewed other hotels in the Old town area, and really did not see any hotels in the Area that may be consider 4 or 5 star.
The Landmark is a poor 3 star hotel if that is what it is rated at.
