Great spacious house in quiet neighborhood, centrally located. Loved easy access to Brooks Pond and use of kayaks. Margaret was quick to respond to emails and left a box of local chocolates to welcome us.
Great and charming space! We were a family of 4 with 2 children(10&12). House had everything you need to include sheets or towels which some owners donât provide. Bucks ponds was great and a 5 minute walk away. Kayaks and beach chairs were also available. Space is spread out so you can have people sleep in without hearing TV room. Itâs an old house with many additions so the AC will vary among the rooms. Also you do need to go outside to get to basement entrance, but given the neighborhood, location, size, extras, itâs definitely a good place for a Cape family vacation. We would go back to it.
We LOVED the layout of this house! We could get together for family time when we wanted to, and retreat to our own private areas when necessary. The use of the kayaks and the easy walk to the pond was just what we wanted for our kids and grandkids.
We enjoyed our stay here. The house has a lot of character, and worked out well for the 7 of us. We appreciated the hammock and the option to eat outside. The loft was very hot upon arrival, but cooled off quickly once we turned on the a/c and fan. Neighbors were helpful and friendly, and it's a nice area to ride bikes around the neighborhood or take walks to the ponds. John Josephâs pond was available for our use,but unfortunately Buckâs pond where the kayak is had a harmful algal bloom present the whole time of our trip.(Out of everyone's control). We weren't able to use that pond during our stay. We still had a great time and found plenty to do. Margaret was very gracious about this, was a very good communicator and was helpful from beginning to end. She left a welcome note and gift at the house, special personal touches. The location in Harwich was central to a lot of things. We recommend staying here!
