Needed room upgrade on arrival photos on website misleading especially for the hotel rooms. Their motel rooms were way better. Air-conditioned. Roomy. Hotel room only had room for bed and very hot no air con or open windows.
Very disappointed in our night here. Difficulty parking as cars haphazard in park. Lack of lighting at entrance was unsafe. Bathroom was dated & filthy. Cupboards with broken sharp handles & water damaged timber. Kitchen lacking crockery & utensils. Fridge very unstable. Bedding uncomfortable & although sheets appeared clean, hairs in the bed!! Ceiling water damaged looked totally unsafe. Room full of dead & live flies & mosquitoes. Definitely a disappointing experience.
Our first and last stay there. The room smelled like sewerage because of the bathroom drain. The smell lingered in the room at barely acceptable levels but was gag inducing in the bathroom itself. The beds were uncomfortable but clean. The shower layout means the bathroom floods but it was clean. Itâs way too overpriced for what you have to put up with, even for budget motel standards.
We stayed at the Hawker Hotel Motel while visiting the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. The hotel is a bit rustic, but a great location. The staff of the hotel/bar/restaurant, especially Mike, was top-notch. We had a great meal at the restaurant and chat with Mike. Highly recommended!
Could not stay here Due to the mix up with the room asked for not being available and an alternative roo offered not fit for human habitation. . The room offered had urine and human waist stains on floor the air cond with no front on it. There was mould on the ceiling broken furniture including damage to the bed frame. Their was a pungent overbearing smell. The communal bathroom is shared with the pub patrons. The manager mr Singh apologised and said he would refund the room however he claimed Expedia had our money and were refusing to let him refund the amount. I contacted the site awaiting confirmation of a refund. I have used this site extensively over the years never have I had to refuse a room based on its habitable state. Ended up driving an hour to another city and rebooking their for the same night.
:-)
This property was a good size for two people.
:-(
Dirty, all surfaces needed a good clean.
Not all lighting worked. Very dim lighting.
Window pane at front of room replaced with thin perspex. Other window had a crack in it.
Nowhere to wash dishes.
One 'clean' plate was greasy and dirty.
Staff could be more enthusiastic.
The pub area needs a good clean - if things are old, they can still be clean.
We didn't eat at the pub, we heard the food was bad so didn't want to risk it.
Would NOT stay here again.
