Better than the usual red roof inn but fire alarm

This was better than your typical Red Roof Inn. They offered upgraded rooms for a small additional fee, which had a more modern and refreshed look. Although there were some ongoing renovations, there was no noise or disturbance caused by them. However, I have to rate this stay poorly due to the fire alarm going off four times between 2:30 AM and 7:00 AM. It was incredibly disruptive. While the hotel attributed the issue to a guest smoking in their room, which might not entirely be their fault, it still made for a terrible night's sleep as we had to be ready to leave the room repeatedly. And we don't know how it could happen 4 times during a single night. On the bright side, their fire alarm system is exceptionally loud, which would ensure safety in the event of an actual fire. I wouldn’t personally opt for this hotel again—or any Red Roof Inn, for that matter—after this experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and a great value for the price, if you'd like to take it into consideration.

Staff: very accommodating. We were assigned a room with a very noisy neighbor. After bringing the issue up to the front desk, we were moved to a quieter room down the hall. Rooms are adequate, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple with not many choices. Coffee came out of a machine. Would have been much better if brewed fresh.

Roaches and poor service

My experience was ruined almost immediately as i came into my room. While unpacking a cockroach went crawling across the window sill freaking out my girlfriend. We drove 10 hours to visit her friends. And she didnt want to stay anymore. I went down to the front desk to voice my issue. I was told she was new and didn't know what to do. She said she would leave a note for a manager thay wasn't on duty at the time. She then offered to switch rooms. Not the best solution considering the roaches are probably in other parts of the hotel. But having having no other option besides canceling the trip we took the other room. We thoroughly checked the room and had no other issues for the 3 nights we were there. But I am leaving a bad review because i never heard from a manager. A discount or free night would have been nice, but not necessary. At least a word and apology from management would have been nice, knowing the "note" with my complaint written to management was received. This oversight is why I rated this place poorly and will never stay here again.

Long story short… this hotel is ghetto! We stayed here for a week. The entrance and the hallways smelled horrible every day and the smells change every day. The staff is friendly for the most part. Breakfast is a joke and not worth your time. Beds are so uncomfortable, you can feel the springs. Many things were broke in the hotel room. Drawers for clothes were broke and TV worked some of the time and the staff told us “it is what it is” we were just staying here for work, so our expectations were not high. But come on yall. Not worth a $100 a night.

The property was fairly nice, but the area that I stayed in was under construction. My room had great beds and lighting, but the room was on the highway side of the building. I can't believe that they charged me the same amount as a nice room away from the highway
