My family and I enjoyed our stay at The Hula House in Hilo. It's super close to everything! The house itself is clean, comfy, and has everything we needed. We loved our stay there!
The Hula House was very beautiful and clean. There were so many amenities. The bathroom was amazing. The house is in town but was quiet enough that you could enjoy the sounds of birds through the open windows. Since we're used to a colder climate we were happy to have an air conditioner in the bedroom for sleeping. It was nice that there was a dedicated parking space. We would stay again.
We had a very nice stay at the Hula House. It was comfortable and well-equipped. Location is great- walkable to some local spots. Spacious for Hawaii and our two teenaged boys. Theme was super-cute!
Clean, spacious. Kitchen tools (pots, tupperware, spoons) well stocked. Location was excellent: close to downtown, close to grocery, quiet residential neighborhood.I will say in spite of having the fans on and windows open the house did get very warm midday until evening. Would recommend for families!
This was a wonderful vacation rental. The house was clean, well maintained, nicely decorated, spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The host was gracious, accommodating, generous, a good communicator. We especially appreciated the welcoming island treats! The location is excellent--just down the street from downtown shops and restaurants. There is air conditioning in all of the bedrooms, which made for comfortable sleeping. There is no A/C in the living room/kitchen, but the ceiling fans and breezes kept those areas reasonable comfortable for the most part. There are coqui frogs in the area, along with other sounds of an active residential neighborhood. No one in my party had any trouble sleeping.
We were very comfortable at the Huls House. It was tastefully decorated and had a lot of amenities. The host left some delicious local priducts which we enjoyed!
This was a great older property that has been renovated and is thoughtfully curated. Everything was great with the property. Our only issue with this VRBO was the location and the neighbourhood. There was a barking dog across the street which started barking both mornings between 6:30AM and 7AM, followed by people gathering out front of the adjacent property. This is obviously out of the owners control, but it made for an early morning on our vacation. Beware that due to the older nature of the property that all food and any remnants must be kept clean and put away, otherwise ants will find it. The place itself is fresh and clean, and the Hilo area canât be missed on the big island.
We loved the beautiful interior design and thoughtful provision of scuba gear, sunscreen, and beach towels. This was the nicest place we stayed at in Hawaii by far!
We were so happy to find this gem in Hilo! The property is exactly as the images show. This home is so tastefully decorated! It was easy to settle into this space, cook meals and get a great rest. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had ample supplies, even a plastic drawer with to-go containers! The home was spotless. Communication prompt. Check in was easy. The gift of Big Island Grown Coffee and cookies was a real nice touch! I was even able to purchase a few bags of coffee to take back home. Thank you for provide such a special place for us to enjoy while exploring Hilo and east coast
Very comfortable, with beautiful, authentic, hula themed decor. Well appointed, close to downtown, but quiet. Would definitely stay here again, next time we're in Hilo.
Great apartment to spend a few days with my family (5 adults). Easy walk into town. Hosts were very communicative and the check-in process was smooth as could be. The immediate area around the property was okay.
We enjoyed staying at your home in Hilo! The house was well furnished and super clean! We really enjoyed the small touches throughout the home. Thanks again!
We are a family of 4 from Texas (14yo and 20yo kids) and stayed 4 nights. The house is so cute and nicely updated. The AC units in the bedrooms kept the nights cold like we are used to but with the windows open we were very comfortable the rest of the time as well. Everything is as described--very clean, comfortable beds, lots of kitchen supplies and some sweet little bonuses. Location was perfect and nothing was more than a few minutes away. The house is on the edge of a neighborhood but also in walking distance of the old-town. We felt totally safe at all times, leaving the windows open each night and while we were gone during the days. My favorite thing was waking up before everyone, going into the living room and smelling the sweet Hawaiian flowers from outside. This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was the absolute best first impression. If you're going to Hilo, look no further!
This home was perfectly located for exploring Hilo and the surrounding areas such as Hawaiâi Volcanoes National Park. Our family of five fit comfortably in the space with room to spare. The host provided tea, coffee, and a sweet treat. We would absolutely stay here again.
This house felt like coming home. The attention to detail is top notch. Appreciated the welcome basket. There's a separate parking space for you to use. House is on a side street, no issues with street noise. You will hear coqui (frogs sounding like birds) at night, which can get quite loud. Don't let that stop you from staying here though, because you won't be able to escape it anywhere in Hilo anyway and this house is really fabulous. Bonus: earplugs are provided for those that want them. Enjoyed our stay!
This home will forever be special to me. It was my second time staying. I love the living room space. That couch is amazing! The kitchen is open and beautiful. Be sure to read the notice about the ants. Itâs a real thing!! The rooms are air conditioned. There is a washer and dryer. Check in was a breeze. There are quite a few stairs and itâs a little steep. I would recommend adding a picture of the stairs. Overall it is a beautiful and comfortable home. Highly recommended
