I will start by saying that the condo was very nice. It was clean (but had a very strong musty odor) and was beautifully decorated. I loved the layout of the place. The location was fantastic as well.My complaints center around the host.* Upon arrival at the shipyard community gate, there was no guest pass waiting for us at either of the gates. We were issued a 24 hour pass and had to call the host to tell him that we needed our pass for the week. It was an inconvenience to have to drive around finding the correct gate once he did call it in.* The check-in information he sent me contained the wrong WiFi password and the wrong pool code. Both times I had to message him to tell him they didn’t work.* The door of the front-loading washer would not lock. I called the host and told him about the error code, and he was not at all helpful. He mumbled something about it needing a part. Well duh! I was not happy because I pack lightly when I know there is a washer and dryer available. He told me to keep hitting start, and it would eventually begin working. That was not the case. So we did not have use of the washer all week. The man didn’t seem to care. This is the first time I have written a negative review about a VRBO host. This fellow needs to improve his communication skills and at least try to ACT as though he cares about his guests. Even a sincere-sounding “I’m sorry” would have gone a long way for the time we had to waste seeking help for the problems we encountered.
