Hotel is a bit dated, however compared to other hotels in the area it’s nice. Around outside the property is filled with garbage, but as is all of HCM. Unfortunately guests don’t follow the NON smoking policies, which was a huge problem for us. Rooms are connected via air ducts and we had to change rooms during our week stay. Service is absolutely wonderful however. Thank you Nikko. A 3.5 star is a good honest review, because every hotel claims to be 5 stars and “ VIP” in Vietnam which is total bogus. I think with new carpet, new paint, some updating, you could be a 4-4.5 star hotel. Cheers and thanks for the wonderful service.

From the moment we arrived to our last goodbye, the Nikko was a stellar stay. The staff is exceptional, courteous, friendly, helpful, and overall the best of the Nikko hotels. The breakfast buffet covered local cuisines, Japanese, Persian, Chinese, and American, and had a juice bar that offered the freshest local fruits. The room was always spotless, the house staff were friendly and always there with a truffle in the evening. We loved our stay and would come back as soon as we can! And thanks to the GM Dawson Tan for running the best of Nikko!

Small breakfast buffet but good quality. Staff was neutral, not too friendly, not rude. Room was spacious. Loud construction during our first night so we requested to change room the next day. They downgraded to a smaller room but it was quiet so we didn't care. Didn't appreciate the check out process. Had to wait for them to check room then accused us of taken a small hand towel and wanted to charge us. My husband told them to check our luggages because we did not do such thing then immediately they told us the maid staff had found the towel. What a way to try to make extra money. We had a fly to catch to Phu Quoc but when we returned to Saigon (HCMC) for another 5 day stay prior to returning to US, we booked at 5 star Hotel Nikko Saigon. Defintely worth the money. Great professional English speaking staff, large breakfast buffet, amazing spa on 5th floor included in price and awesome big outdoor swimming pool. We did not use the gym but it was a nice gym. Hotel Nikko is connected to a mall and food court so you are always in air condiition if you choose to stay indoor. Nikko required $4 million Vietnamese Dong deposit vs $1 million Vietnamese Dong deposit at Royal but we received the full deposit back at check out.
