It is an iconic hotel. The place is full of history. While the decor is slightly dated but the place is clean and more than acceptable. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is also excellent, walkable to many main attractions. I would stay there again.

For an iconic hotel, we were very disappointed over all. Dingy hall ways, bathroom is outdated and the water pressure was very low. The breakfast in morning, we were not impressed, serving the same buffet food two days in a row. Congee was cold and the over all food is below average compared to other hotels we’ve stay at.

The only thing I love about the hotel was location- other than that, it was horrible. Very old, VIP benefits were not recognized, old pool with lots of pigeons, and outdated rooms. I love HCMC and will go back, but definitely I don't recommend this hotel

We had a lovely stay at this hotel during our recent girls' trip to Vietnam. The rooms were above average, spacious, clean, and tidy and housekeeping made sure they were refreshed daily. As two women traveling together, we felt absolutely safe throughout our stay. The location couldn’t be more perfect! It’s just a short walk to Ben Thanh Market, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, local attractions, and brand showrooms nearby. The famous Cafe Apartment is only 5 minutes away, which was a bonus! The staff were friendly and always ready to help. A special mention to the breakfast buffet it was amazing, with plenty of options even for vegetarians. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a warm, welcoming vibe.

Location is great, poor WIFI for a 5 star hotel. Spacious and clean room. We have a view of the Union Square, a bit noisy but it did not bother us. Hotel is classic and has full of history, if you’re into Vintage, the hotel is for you.

This is the second time we stayed at the Rex. The first time we had a much more luxurious suite. While the hotel still is elegant quality and luxury about it, it feels a lot more data than it is eight years ago, for example, no air conditioning in the hallway is just humidity, Also I think the restaurant choices are somewhat limited although the service remains excellent. Of course, it's location in the center of Ho Chi Minh City as a plus for sure. Also, we set the rooms were a little bit larger and didn't feel as dated and had better lighting in them
