this is a beautifully renovated classic 1940s 1950s circa right of the highway(not freeway)motor Lodge and a spacious beautiful wooded lot. A very comfortable bed in a spotless a clean room with some excellent Saugatuck dining options close by. spectators sports bar is just 2 miles up the road and a great place to watch the game and have some lake Michigan perch.
On the whole, everything was great! Would give a four and an half star rating. That is because of breakfast. Included breakfast was minimal; if you want eggs, pancakes or yogurt for example. Expect breads, some cereal, instant oatmeal; basically a limited continental. Also coffee and tea choices are spare.
This is the most friendly motel I have ever stayed at. It's a mom, dad, and daughter run business. They treat you like family. I've stayed several times at this property and they remembered me from my previous stay. I can't stress enough how comfortable they make you feel. Nothing negative to write about this place. Believe me once you stay here you'll never stay anywhere else again.
This property is a GEM! The outdoor area has several fire pits with lots of chairs around them, several grills, picnic tables, a pool, and there are 2 chairs outside each room. Our room was extremely clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the linens were good quality. The breakfast was adequate to get us down the road until lunchtime. The staff was warm and welcoming and, even though the motel was nearly full, it was very quiet. Great value and I highly recommend this motel.
Starlite motel was a drive up motel. The motel was very clean. The room size was on the smaller size but the bathroom was spacious. The shower was nice. They offered a breakfast but it was a joke of toast and bagels.
