This is the perfect stay for a North Carolina beach. It was extremely clean and had direct beach access, while being close to a couple of great restaurants/breweries. I also very much appreciated being able to bring my dog so he can enjoy the beach as much as possible during his senior years. I would stay here again without question.

This was a great place to stay. We had clear communication throughout our visit. The house is well decorated and welcoming. One thing I really enjoyed was the fenced in area. I didn't think about it before, but it made it easier to let the dogs out. I would stay here again..

Great view and beach access! The owner was an excellent communicator. We loved the proximity to restraunts and coffee shops. We enjoyed the porch, the hot tub and all of the toys they had there. We also appreciated the pay it forward program the owner had organized, it helped prevent us from having to purchase things such as salt, pepper, body wash etc!

Never Disappointed!

My husband and I always look forward to our annual stay at Zen Escape and have never been disappointed! Beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings and the kitchen is well stocked. The new and extra touches are perfect. Take a second to check out the shutters with the NC silhouette. The location is ideal. Nothing beats entering an extremely clean rental and seeing the ocean immediately! Though the weather was uncooperative, our stay at Zen Escape was 5 stars!

Just Gorgeous

We stayed in February and can only express congrats to the owners who have gone above and beyond. (The hot tub was wonderful.) The view cannot be beat, the furniture is top notch and has a designer's touch, comfy beds, luxurious towels & sheets. Love the "pay-it-forward" - nice to have kitchen spices, foil wrap, etc already supplied. Loved it so much, we've already re-booked for another little slice of paradise!

Perfect Getaway

My family of four spent our Thanksgiving in this beautiful home. We were able to cook because all of the kitchen gear was there. We enjoyed the spa and card games they had on hand. Check in and communication was easy and responsive.

Zen Indeed!

With views that make you feel as if the water is directly beneath you and an oceanfront deck that allows you to take in the beauty and hear the ocean waves at all times, there is no way you won't feel zen here! The property itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our family of 5. It's close enough to the action of Surf City to be convenient but far enough to still feel the peace we crave on vacation. This was our dogs' first beach trip, and they were in heaven! The fencing beneath the house led to a convenient and worry-free experience when they were outside with us. We hope to return to this location in the near future as it was perfect for our family.

Great location

This home was in a quiet area and in between public access points so the beach area was not too crowded! The upstairs area was a nice size and beds were comfortable with ample drawer space. The view is incredible!

Everything You Could Want / Need On Your Beach Vacay

Our Zen Escape experience was amazing! I don't think we could have been any closer to the water without having been on a boat. It was beautiful! The home was stocked with more than we would have expected, and everything was in great condition. Every person we communicated with in regards to the property responded quickly, and did their best to accommodate. DEFINITELY recommend!

This home on the beachfront was perfect! It had everything we needed and more. The home was very charming and comfortable. Walk right out to the beach and also easy access to the Surf City community. Communication couldn’t have been better. My only regret is that we could not stay longer.

Puppy’s 1st Birthday trip!

We’ve got one special pup who was diagnosed early on with a severe heart issue, who has also not had the best luck regarding her health this last year. She loves the beach and just recently made it to her first birthday, so we thought a trip for her would be just what we all needed! This home was beautiful, truly did not want to leave. Highly recommend and am already dying to come back!
