Waikīkī Resort Hotel did not disappoint. Yes, 1970s decor and could do with an update, but it had all amenities. Early check-in was very well appreciated and having the option for an extra bed made our stay even more better. The lite breakfast did have slim pickings, the pastries and fresh fruit were great.

Needs renovation, area is good but the hotel rooms are old and depressing. I was checked in room 407 I was so disappointed room is dark and depressing. I asked front desk agent if there is at least brighter room and he said it’s all the same. And then I waited for the guy who checked me in Branden if I’m not mistaken with his name and showed me another room 811 much better but still?? The only thing that makes difference is the front desk agent that helped me to see another room.

Its right across the street from Waikiki beach, parking was a breeze, conveniently located close to ABC market and great restaurants. Maintenence staff was awesome...i had my shower back up and the evening/ night Maintenence guy fixed it in 15 minutes. He was working nonstop the week that i was there. From helping guests, cleaning drains, answering calls, and even opening a bottle wine for some old ladies... that guy us a rock star. He was working so hard he literally sweat through his uniform and still had a smile on his face and was kind to everyone. Exactly who you want maintaining your property and helping guests.

We got a deluxe room with partial view of the beach and it was beautiful. The only downside was the pool. It wasn’t very modern or popular compared to other hotels. Staff was nice and friendly. It’s close to restaurants and walkable to the beach. The parking is convenient too. It’s a very affordable hotel if you’re looking for something cheaper.

The rooms had very uncomfortable beds, rust around shower stall. Noisy-could hear music from other hotels. Breakfast items seemed to cater to a specific subset of guests. Generally just needs updating. Hotel is very convenient to Waikiki beach. Staff very friendly.

The bed was horrible my husband and i slept in a double bed it was so uncomfortable by day 2 of our 8 day stay we both were in pain. When we checked in we were told this was done by a 3rd party beds are not guaranteed. But u see the same last name. Also our free breakfast i believed served for others not Americans who are not used to a soup or rice for breakfast and the melon was not ripe either the housekeeper was very sweet and did a great job. The man who ran the little store seemed grumpy every day as well also the room was suppost to be city view but it was a dirty roof view along with the pool party every nite at the hotel across the way.

Brandon was so helpful. My fiancé and I came to Hawaii for my birthday and this place made sure I felt like a Queen. We were here for 10 days and they didn’t disappoint. We were close to the beach and all of the restaurants and amenities. They left me a present in my room and helped with a surprise upgrade. I’m so happy that we stayed here and I will definitely be back!!

It is outdated room but clean and spacious so I had no issue at all. Beach is just few steps away and everything is close and convenient. Hotel itself was quiet and peaceful but another hotel right beside was so noisy with DJ music until 10pm. The hotel window is not sound proof at all. It was hard to sleep at night.
