Maggam ( pronounced Meagan) the front desk manager in the morning was amazing. She made the trip. I had to go to a bank for a notary and She helped me find the closest one. Additionally, She makes the absolute best coffee. Maggam was cheerful to everyone. The pool area and the bar are awesome! I especially like the swings at the bar. iWaikiki.

The room was great, however the building is pretty old. It’s on a good location and affordable . There is a nice vibe here as well. I would stay again. It’s only a 3 floor building but no elevator.

This was my first ever visit to Hawai'i and my partner and I stayed 8 nights here at White Sands Hotel. I loved how friendly and helpful the staff was. Our room was clean, we loved the hot tub, and loved how close the hotel was in walking distance to so many things in Waikiki. We loved that we were able to borrow beach chairs for free as well. The food was good and a great option for us when we didn't want to leave the hotel area. We also loved the slushies and breakfast burritos at the front desk. The one thing that was kind of a bummer was that we had to valet our car every day/night because we had no other option and it got a little pricey. But even with that, the valet staff was super welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

The staff was really nice and helpful but for the price you pay to stay here the amenities just aren’t there. The bar is right in the middle and very noisy so no matter what room you get you will hear music until about 10:30-11 pm even though the bar closes at 9pm. Plus for the price, most of the drinks are tiny compared to the price tag. The pool is also right in the middle of everything so you hear all the people and the entrance is constantly wet. It also says that the rooms were all renovated recently but they don’t look it. The room we stayed in has some pretty bad water damage in the bathroom. The door and the wall were peeling and the wood was puffy from water also the shower is very small. And lastly I’m not sure what’s going on but I think the pipes are messed up. Everytime you or anyone else uses water there’s a scary loud banging in the wall. That, coupled with the springs in your back from the bed, the hole in the sheets and the noisy outside make for a terrible nights sleep. So although I appreciated the staff the hotel just isn’t worth the price you pay. My stay was almost 3,000 dollars and I came back exhausted and riddled with hip and back pain. And side note the restaurant IS the bar and again for the price, the foods nothing to write home about and they have a weird no outside food after 9pm policy. Staffs great! Everything else needs work.

The bar was well stocked and fun atmosphere. My room was clear thoroughly and staff were always available and helpful to our concerns. Our room was great for what we paid for. It was close to the strip of restaurants. This is our second time staying here and we enjoyed the accessibility of being close to the beach.
