Do not book this hotel!!! The place is filthy and needs a complete renovation. What was once probably a beautiful hotel with great facilities in the 70’s is now a tired reck. My room was a”premium room” and was awful so I dread to think what a budget room was like. I ordered a latte at the bar and the glass arrive with a thick layer of ingrained coffee scum from where the glass had not been washed. I paid £100ish per night for two nights and it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Could be nice hotel

Pros: Staff
Cons: Refurbishment of hotel
Hotel looks very pleasing but is very sad and tired. First room we checked into the bathroom light kept going out with no means of putting on again from within bathroom. Bathroom also had mould in between tiles ! Staff very pleasant and moved us to a much larger room with large double bed and two singles. However pipe holding shower head was only attached to wall at top, still mould between tiles plus all double glazing within room had blown. Minor point but for a 4 star hotel no toiletries apart from shower gel attached to wall. Lounge full of guys watching football in the evening.

Nice hotel for stop over

Reception staff very friendly. Room spacious and clean, especailly as a budget room. Outside areas looking quite sad and unkept (Probably a cut back in keeping expenses down, saying that pleasant to sit in on a very hot evening and eat Supper. (food from bar very expensive for what it is) Would use hotel again.

Convenient Stay

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Cleaning
Location: Don't know
The hotel is on a main road so from 05:30hrs it is quite noisy. The room was mostly clean but the extractor fan over the shower has not been cleaned for some time. The room was a good size, the right temperature and the bed was comfortable. The en-suite was large and clean but the light over the mirror was flicking on and off. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. A good hotel for a short business stop at a reasonable price.

Nice comfortable hotel

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and am planning my next break! the rooms were nice and comfortable, spa and pool was lovely, had the whole area to myself! Nice relaxing time!

Overnight stay following local wedding.

Pros: Nothing in particular.
Cons: See above.
Location: No idea.
The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful when I telephoned in advance of my booking. I was expecting great things. On checking in that evening, the two gentlemen in reception were not quite as friendly. I was very disappointed in the standard of the room - it was shabby and looked in need of a bit of care and attention. Net curtains hanging off the railing where they were torn. Two lightbulbs were completely missing. The bed was uncomfortable. There was a sign in the bathroom saying not drinking water and yet no bottled water was provided. Toiletries provided in the bathroom consisted of one tablet of soap. There was a strange vent area in the ceiling which I presume was to do with air conditioning(?), however it became illuminated when the room lights were on so gave a very creepy feeling that someone might drop in or be spying on you! The lady at the breakfast check-in was rather unfriendly. Not the 4* I was expecting.
