We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. At first there was a little hiccup with the water being off due to some maintenance but the owner was quick to respond and it was smooth sailing after that was fixed. The beds were excellent, and while the kitchen could have been better equipped ( only 1 tiny frying pan) , we enjoyed the our time. We were able to take advantage of the great weather and played dominoes and cards out on the deck. The location was good for getting into the historic district and getting to Garvan Gardens ( Highly Recommend !) Would consider staying here again .

The house needs a deep cleaning. The floors were very dirty. We saw several German roaches which are the worst kind, meaning before we could take our things in our homes when returning we had to unpack outside so we didn’t transport any to our personal homes. The house is in great need of a pest control treatment by a professional. I have added photos of the roaches and. Business card of someone to does pest management services in Hot Springs.

I should of booked longer!

Great and quiet place to stay not to far from all the attractions in Hot Springs we had an awesome time! Highly recommend! I will come back in the future for another stay but longer next time!!

Looks can be deceiving

Upon arriving we smelled cat urine on the porch, which really needs to be addressed. We were bowled over by a musty, moldy odor upon entering the house. There was a table in the living room with candles, a lighter and a can of air freshener (as shown in the pictures), and it was very obvious why they were there! The master bedroom did not have closet doors, or a full cover and was in need of repairs and paint. For privacy I took the bed quilt, folded it up and placed it on top of the blanket on the closet shelf as there was a hole in the wall that was a bit well placed for viewing the entire bed! This is probably not intentional, but still creepy and needs to be fixed. If you look at the listing pictures and compare them to the attached photo's you will see very worn furniture and the couch is stained and musty. I'm glad we had a full few days planned and didn't need to spend much time in the house. We won't be back to this home, but we loved Hot Springs!

Quick Getaway

Our stay was short but nice. Everything was available in the house that we needed. It was Very clean. Photos matched description. Our stay was in June, the house was a bit humid and the ac seemed to be struggling to keep up. The house had an odor and there were several candles but none would light. We brought in candles and the odor subsided. We saw 4 deer, a turtle and a rabbit. Seeing nature up close made it all worth the trip.

Comfortable beds are important and they were! Older house with character. Everything you need, we didn’t grill or stay outside. I would stay again if needed.

Great location, but house needs work

Great neighborhood, easy to check in and out but the house needs several repairs. There was 4 adults and 1 child, which is why I booked a 2 bathroom. The main bathroom had a clogged toilet from the start and the hosts suggested use only the other one. (Easier said than done with that many people). Back door was unusable and barely locked, several areas of missing trim or holes in the closets, dryer door had to be propped closed and very few towels and rags, and the shower door was off track. Just minor wear and tear that is easily remedied but has been let go. Not my favorite by far and we stay with VRBO very frequently. I am a Realtor from North Louisiana and expected a little better for the price.

It was amazing! Property definitely did its photos justice. We loved the house and everything it had to offer. Host was also amazing! Always checking on us to see if there was anything we needed. Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely book again in the future!

Cozy, comfortable yet needs some attention

We enjoyed our stay and found the cottage cozy and comfortable, in a beautiful wooded neighborhood, relatively quiet. Yet is needing some attention and more thorough cleaning and some repairs, e.g. toaster not working, coffee maker was dirty, kitchen sink sprayer not working, outdoor grill dirty, many window blinds need repair, bedrm carpets need shampoo-cleaning, could use some new kitchen pots and pans. Also had one night, out of 10 with a very noisy next door neighbor.

Cute house

Four of us stayed here for three nights. It’s very clean, spacious and in a beautiful area. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and deck in the back. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Nice place but durty

The place was really nice, not far from everything, very quiet, enough for 4 adults and 3 kids. But the place was very durty : floor (my baby's legs were black after 2 min) ; the kitchen tools,oven... ; the bedroom was smelling of smoke and we found a butt below the bed...
