Our son is playing for the Sawmills Timberkings this summer. We made the trip to spend a week with him and watch a few games. This house was conveniently located close to his home field and fit our group of 5 perfectly. Would definitely stay here again if we are back near Sawmills.
This was where the family of the bride planted for a weekend wedding in Lenoir. We had a lovely time and everything was exactly as advertised. The large upstairs bedroom was especially impressive!.
This property was rented for our daughterâs wedding at Heritage Valley Farms and mini vacation for us afterwards. We typically stay in remote homes with beautiful mountain views, but picked this cozy place for itâs convenience. We were close to the venue, grocery stores, restaurants and a golf course. The 3rd bedroom wasnât used, but was very small. The kitchen was definitely a one butt space, but we didnât spend a lot of time in there so it was ok. The master bedroom was huge and the king size bed was very comfortable. In the future, should we have a need for a house in the Lenior area, we definitely would try to stay here again.
The living area is comfortable, although the fire place didn't work. The main bedroom upstairs is quite spacious, with a convenient bath. The downstairs bedrooms are much smaller. The kitchen/dining area worked for us, but it's small. The street is quiet and pleasant. We were very comfortable there. It's a convenient location to access surrounding towns. We enjoyed the Mitford Museum and a day in Blowing Rock.
Hot tub was highlighted in the listing but was unusable since the water was cold and the heater couldn't heat it up fast enough. It took the entirety of our two day trip to heat the water up to temperature. I contacted the host to ask about the hot tub but they were more interested in telling me the rules of the property than paying attention to my questions. They did finally answer me only to say that the hot tub must not be heating because the cover wasn't properly closed. I didn't enjoy the implication that the issue was somehow my fault. Especially after the host told me that the water was replaced the day of our arrival. I suspect that the electrical supply to the heater is insufficient to heat the water quickly. Full disclosure though, I didn't investigate very deeply. I didn't care that much. I just noticed that the circuit in the breaker box labeled "Jacuzzi" was smaller than I expected. House was clean and was plenty big enough for us. It was well appointed as well. There were plenty of towels and supplies and the kitchen was well stocked. There was no mention of it, but the fireplace didn't appear to be working. I surely wouldn't have tried to start a fire in it. The ad highlights the fireplace, so be forewarned.Beds were comfortable and the water pressure was great. Don't try to sleep in the back bedroom if someone is using the bathroom upstairs, especially the shower. It's quite loud.Wi-Fi was great too.
My brother just took a job in Lenoir and we wanted to go up and spend the weekend with him. This place was in a good place to travel to Boone and blowing rock. Very quiet street and a great walking place around the neighborhood for our dog. It was a nice get away
Overall the property was nice. The title is slightly misleading in the fact the fireplace isnât useable. Everything else is as stated. Nice neighborhood.
