`Bear Essentials` is a charming waterfront cottage on peaceful Otter Lake. The private dock overlooking a calm non-motorized lake, home to many otters and wildlife, is the perfect oasis for nature lovers. Enjoy the serenity of canoeing, fishing and swimming without the sound of boats and sea-doos whizzing by.

This property boasts 130 feet of water frontage which wraps around the cottage allowing for water views from almost every angle. While this property has the privacy and seclusion of rural living in a fully-winterized cottage, it is also just a 10-minute drive `to the conveniences of downtown Huntsville.`

For year-around fun, Bear Essentials is within a 18-minute driving radius to Hidden
Valley Highlands Ski Area and Muskoka Ski Club, Arrowhead Ice Skating Trail and
several golf courses. There are also snowmobiling, snowshoeing and hiking trails in
walking distance.` The cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 four-piece bathroom. Bedroom on the second story has a picturesque Juliet balcony with a scenic view of the lake. The fully-stocked kitchen overlooks the elevated cathedral pine ceilings in the dining area. There is also a fully operational Regency fireplace, a custom deck overlooking the water with a bbq and a lovely screened-in Muskoka room.

• Quite hours between 9 pm & 8 am
• No shoes in the house
• Guest should bring their own firewood and ensure fire is put out at end of use.
• Early check in or late check out can be arranged when available based on availability.
• Thank you for your thoughtfulness and consideration in leaving the cottage (inside and out) clean and tidy. For guest use, Cottage has a broom, dustpan, dish soap and vacuum
• No loud music or parties or events at anytime
• No Fireworks are allowed in the property at all times. Its against the township by-law.
• Insects and wildlife are a part of cottage country. Please discourage them by keeping doors and screens closed.
• Maximum two pets allowed.
• Pets cannot be left unattended, and we ask that you pick up after your pet.
• Please do not put anything into the toilets but into the trash cans provided in the washrooms for paper towels, Kleenex, tampons, pads, flushable wipes, hair etc
• Please clean and empty fridge, microwave, and Oven.
• Empty all garbage containers.
• There is a fire ban in the region for the month of April. Lighting an outdoor fire at this time will lead to penalties imposed by the city officials.
• GUESTS ARE TO TAKE GARBAGE AND RECYCLE BACK WITH THEM AT THE END OF THEIR STAY.
• Summer seasonal activities (dock, kayak, canoe etc) are available for guest use between Victoria Day weekend to Thanksgiving weekend.

As a guest of Bear Essentials Lakefront Hideaway, you'll find barbecue grills, a garden, and laundry facilities. WiFi is free in public spaces.
