We had trouble finding the entrance to the parking lot from the main highway. The motel was very clean and comfortable and looked like it had recently been remodeled. We had our choice of staying here or a brand new motel down the road and chose this motel because it was cheaper and the other one didn't serve breakfast as part of your stay. We weren't disappointed.

My room backed up to the elevator. The room on the other side had a loud family that went back & forth to their vehicle so many times I lost count. They needed to “beep beep” i.e. double click their door locks every single time. The vehicle was parked right outside my window. And, the person on the floor above me stomped loudly as they walked back & forth repeatedly. I guess it’s not the place’s fault, but I will not be back.

On Night 1, our room window was on the side of the Hwy. 61 and the traffic noise cut right through the room. On Night 2, we moved to a new room across the hall away from Hwy. and it was better.

I visit my family every six month. I usually stay at one of the hotels for a good night sleep. Between the two I would recommend the Hampton Inn, Hutchenson, KS over Fairfield Inn, Hutchenson, KS. Friendly staff willing to accommodate request for medium roast coffee. Told management and line men, construction workers drink dark roast. Told I can purchase at local resturants.
