Beware of the barman

Airport shuttle was a bonus. We booked this property for a maximum of 5 hours prior to late night flight. Down fall: Man in bar/restaurant asked if we had AUD currency on us and could he have a look at it. Not an issue. The ISSUE was he just put it in his pocket. SERIOUSLY how rude! There is a difference between look and take. We have our AUD currency back but there is a bitter taste left with us.

We booked a 2 queen bed suite, prepaid and even informed them of late arrival after midnight. When we arrived, they said they overbooked, gave away our room and tried to downgrade us to Hyatt Place next door to a regular room. Told us yes it was a downgrade and I had to deal with Hotels.com later for the rate difference So we had no choice but to take a suite with 1 King and sofa bed. My hubby snores and he couldn't sleep at all on a sofa bed the whole night. We asked to switch the next day. It looks like a room with 2 beds but not quite the size of a suite. Anyway. The bathroom shower curtain has mildew and there is no hot water in the shower. Also, when we got dropped off by their airport shuttle, the male driver told us he could only dropped us on the road behind the hotel. So we had to drag our luggage to the hotel for about 5 mins. We booked our return stay at this hotel already through Hotels.com, hopefully, they won't give away our prepaid suite again next time. Coffee was good at breakfast though.

Good hotel in a convenient location. Well priced for the offerings. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options. The only downside was that we didnt have enough blankets for all family. Requested additional ones but was told they didnt have any more? Found that hard to believe.
