My daughter and I felt safe here. The beds didn't look all that comfortable, but they were. We slept so well. I loved the character of the hotel. All the people who worked at the hotel that we came in contact with, were really nice and friendly.

Old but enjoyable

This is a C19 hotel which has seen limited updates in recent decades. The quirks of creaky floorboards and erratic air conditioning should not put you off staying in this splendid location.

What a cluster f@ck

When arrived the non-english speaker of the reception told us that he could not find our reservations for 5 nights and 2 rooms and they were fully booked. He literally told us we would be homeless in Romania and didn't care. Hotels.com also ignored our pleas and we ended up having to cancel our trip.

Excellent location in a very walkable area. Plenty of shopping and dining everywhere. Public transportation on retro streetcars nearby. The hotel staff is very nice and the room is cleaned every day. There is dining downstairs. This hotel is an excellent choice and very affordable.

Cheap in the worst meaning of this word

The worst stay Ive ever had. Do not choose this place even for 1 night stay. It is always very noisy in your room because you hear everything from the corridors and from other rooms!! Also take in consideration that theres no HOT WATER (which i thought is impossible), and broken shower :) . The ONLY positive thing is location and thats it! Dont waste your money(even though its cheap)for this hotel go book something better,believe me its the worst

The room and the bathroom were very dirty. The bathroom hasnt even a soap to wash the hands. I paid for breakfast and i took only a glass of milk and an omelette. When i asked for more they answered thats all you can have. i DONT RECOMEND THIS HOTEL

Excellent stay

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. The service was excellent, large bathroom, updated furniture. Very customer friendly and non-stop currency exchange in the lobby. Great wi-fi service and breakfast available for a small fee.

Reception desk staff not very helpful or friendly. The hotel is in a rundown condition, in need of a major facelift or renovation. Very central location but noisy due to tram cars running from 06.00 to midnight.

Very communist, one night is fine

Like others have said, fine for one night. The woman who checked me in was grouchy and unfriendly, and the property is faded, with a musty smell in the air. My room smelled like stale cigarette smoke even though it was nonsmoking but I had a room facing an inner courtyard as requested so it was fairly quiet. I propped open a window to let in air and that was fine. The room itself is pretty spare but there was a grubby minifridge I appreciated. Breakfast is included and whilst it ends a bit early for my taste at 10:30am, another woman at the front desk cooked a nice omelette for me. Wifi works well as does hot water and water pressure. Room was immaculate as was bathroom.
