I booked this home for Thanksgiving weekend. Since it is managed by a corporation, I asked in advance for a full walkthrough and their checklist, knowing repairs would be hard over the holiday. Neither was provided, and it was clear no real walkthrough was done.The host was polite and responsive, but many issues should have been caught before check-in:• One refrigerator not working; the door fell off from missing screws. A tech came but could not fix it. He said he had been there for the same issue with prior guests and unplugged it, so the host knew it needed replacement and never told us.• One kitchen sink not working• One fireplace not working• A towel rack broken• Toilets in master bedroom and larger casita flushing poorly; we had to use plungers several times• No bath mats, creating slipping hazard, especially for older guestsHosts answered messages quickly, but nothing major was fixed during our stay. Almost everything was pushed until after checkout.Overall, communication was good, but the lack of proper preparation and inspection had a real impact on our stay. Most problems could have been avoided with a real pre-arrival walkthrough.
