We were very pleased that our host stayed out to welcome us as we had arrived on the late ferry and did not get to the inn until-:15mpm.
Amazing breakfast - vey nice eggs royale at a no extra cost.
Food was very good and the staff very friendly.
Didn’t appreciate being asked to leave the reception area because of a private function being held in the main restaurant.
Lovely place to stay. Team were lovely and very helpful

Disliked: Staff & service
Exceedingly dissatisfied, I highly recommended seeking accommodations elsewhere. This place is dishonest and not worthy of business. When a storm prevented travel due to the closure of ferry crossings I contacted the hotel and was told they would agree to cancel but I would need to get expedia to also cancel. I then booked another place not requiring a ferry. When expedia agreeded and contacted the Cross Inn they then refused so I was stuck with the bill. If they would have been honest up front I would have understood, but instead they lied. When I return to Lewis Harris I will avoid this place like the plague. I encourage others to avoid the Cross Inn so you dont experience the dishonesty I experienced.
Attractive, clean, quiet room. Large offering of hot and cold items for breakfast. Dinner was grand: fresh food, well seasoned and huge portions. Ample parking onsite. The owners and staff were welcoming and friendly.
A very comfortable room . Beautifully decorated. All little extras provided. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. We ate an evening meal in the pub which was also very good . Happily stay there again .
Booked the Cross Inn because it s kind of at the "end of the world" near the Butt of Lewis and had great reviews. It didn't disappoint. Wonderful staff, cozy stay, full Scottish breakfast, plenty of hot water in the shower, can't thank these folks enough for their kindness and dedication.

We had an overnight stay here during our recent trip to the Western Isles. The room was quite simple, as expected when we booked, but the welcome from the staff was very good.
We had dinner in the barn, good choice available and very well cooked and again, we had great service. Same again at breakfast so in all we had a great stay and can strongly recommend
Extremely friendly and helpfull Staff. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Black pudding outstanding. Cycle friendly. Good range of beers and whiskys. Room comfortable, ckean with nice decor. A great place to stay when visiting the Butt of Lewis.
The Cross is an outstanding gem of a little hotel about a half hours drive north of Stornoway on the rugged and beautiful west coast. The staff are fabulous; the food fabulous and the rooms are comfortable. Leave the Stornoway hotels to their over-priced quest to city type uniformity and be part of the Cross. You won't regret it!
Loved staying at Cross Inn! Stayed one night while going through Lewis and Harris and it was exactly what we needed. Quiet and comfortable bed and breakfast and perfect location. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay while in Lewis!
The Cross Inn is wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the barn pub- a fun setting and excellent food. WiFi was great in bar but non existent in our room. Highly recommend it to other travelers.
We stayed a night prior to flying out of Stornoway. Nice room, decent bathroom, solid breakfast, plus a chance to eat good pub grub in the curious barn bar.
This was such a wonderful respite from our cycling tour!
The staff were so gracious and the barn pub is hard to beat. Loved this place & will definitely return!
Such a wonderful place to stay at what feels like the top of the Isle of Lewis (nearly is). Food was some of the best we had in three weeks of road tripping. Owners were so kind and friendly, helped us to plan to see the most things possible in one day. Highly recommend.
