For check in I was sent a video regarding how to operate the door lock. This video did not go with the type of lock on the door, and the door lock had a keypad which was not working. Fortunately I was able to contact customer service and the told me about a lock box that held a key. I was able to use the key to open the door. All of this took about 30 minutes. Someone was supposed to come check out the keypad , but I never saw anyone. I just continued using the key. I had no problems otherwise. The condo is a 5 minute walk to the beach. It’s a pretty area. There are no stores or restaurants within walking distance. The beach was great and people are very friendly.

We really enjoyed the beach and the pool. The property while needing a bit of an upgrade suited our needs perfectly. We found the tv a bit hard to navigate, but we did figure it out. I like taking a bath so I needed to purchase a stopper for the tub, I would recommend it to a friend

Wild Dunes beach Condo

Condo picture on VRBO is not the condo you rent! Arrived Sunday afternoon, Cable and Internet were down. Real hasel between VRBO and Vacasa the the condo management company. Transfered multiple times and multiple days between Vacasa local office and HQ office. Issue not fixed for 2 days! Not the way I want to spend my vacation! Condo bed was terrible, bathroom old and needs work, AC return vent was filthy! Overall condo is in need of deep cleaning and upgrade. We will not go back.

Awesome Beach Access

The property was very clean upon entry. It's a little dated especially the bathroom, but overall nice and roomy, which I really appreciated. We cooked there several nights and appreciated that there was silverwear, plates, and come cooking utensils. Like many reviewers said, the bed really needs to be replaced which is why I gave the overall score of 4 stars. The bed was lumpy, squeeky, and just overall uncomfortable.

A great location just feet from the beach. The property was very clean and a great layout for 2 people. The bathroom is dated but otherwise very comfortable.

Perfect location. Very clean. An adequate amount of room to spread out for me, my husband and teen even though just a one bed room. Could use some updating .. but worked out great! I would stay in this until again.

First the condo shown in the photo is not the photo of this unit, it’s a photo of an oceanfront unit. Second if you read some of the other reviews in which Vacasa states they have address these problems. They have not, we had same issues as reviewers over a month ago. Pros: it’s close to the beach Cons: Less than 1/2 the outlets were in working order, plugs just fall out of many, impossible to use and others didn’t work at all. The WiFi signal was not strong enough to stream on the Roku devices added to the televisions. The comforter on the bed was threadbare and the sheets were so so rough I at first thought there was sand in the bed. The closet was used as storage so no place to put our things, not that we could have used it anyway since the door was 1/2 off it’s track. The kitchen appliances were extremely outdated, there was a dirty pan in the oven, no potholders, and the utensil holders had what looked like shrimp shells in them, which was easy to see because there were very few utensils. The bathroom was dingy and the sink was extremely low. The laundry area was also used as storage and the washer was so dirty with rust and possibly mold that I couldn’t imagine it getting anything clean. The metal outlet in the floor was rusted and sticking up from the floor, be sure to get a tetanus shot if you plan to stay here but hey, it actually worked. There were 2 wasp nests on the deck, not that we wanted to sit out there since the view is of a wooded area, not the sea oats shown in the photo. If you are expecting to stay in a lovely Wild Dunes condo, keep looking, this isn’t it.

Overall a good experience; however the sink/garbage disposal had a smell like old shrimp shells . This was particularly noticeable when using the kitchen sink. VACASA tried to schedule a dishwasher repair during my stay and I had to call them and have that cancelled. I feel that they should have made it known if repairs to the unit were scheduled prior to my booking.

This place had a wonderful location and a quiet community. The dishwasher is on its last legs. Other appliances and decor of the place really shows its age and wear.

Nice condo but dated furnishings. Floors were not clean when we arrived, particularly under the bed. 1 roll of TP !?! On final day, as we were loading the car, the keypad failed (batteries) so we were locked out until maintenance tech arrived 40 minutes later.

Great place!

This place was very comfortable and clean! Only complaint was the TV in the bedroom didn’t work and bed wasn’t super comfy. But other than that, everything else was fine. Would stay again!

“Island getaway”

The location was great. The unit could use updating and more amenities (pot holders etc.). Closet was full of stuff (no room for ours). We had almost no phone service (Verizon) due to weak or no signal. We had little communication with managers due to lack of phone service but when we did, they were great. In the end the stay was great due to the location and size of the unit. We would stay again if the phone connectivity could be corrected.

Decent but outdated

This property needs a lot of upgrades. All of the appliances in the kitchen are old and rusty. The shower head was terrible. The bed creaked and cracked with every little movement. The size of the property was great and the location was perfect. We enjoyed the pool and beach access. With some upgrades and TLC, this property would be well worth the money.

Great location - tired property

This condo is in a great location in the Wild Dunes property with convenient access to the pool and beach. However, to say this condo is "tired" is rather an understatement. There is an overall feeling that the property is not clean because it is dingy, particularly the bathroom. The mattress is lumpy, the pillows flat (and 3 total for the entire property). Also, the cover photo is a bit misleading as this condo is not beachfront although it is a short walk to the beach. This property has lots of potential, but DEFINITELY need to be updated.

Trust me, keep looking. Disappointment!

We were very disappointed in the condition of this vacation rental. First the pros; good location and the condo was clean. CONS; Many of the electrical outlets either didn't work, or were so worn out they wouldn't hold the plug. The wifi worked in the bedroom where the router is, but beyond that, the reception was terrible. Unable to watch Netflix or any other streaming service in the living room because reception was so poor, it kept buffering. We were going to watch TV in the bedroom where wifi was good, but neither remote would work and there are no on/off buttons on the TV. While looking at the wall paper peeling from the walls in the kitchen, I noticed the fire extinguisher that hadn't been inspected since 1991. If you want more than 1 pillow, bring your own. If you want more than 1 bath towel, bring your own. The decorative pillow in the bedroom had a big hole with stuffing hanging out. The bathroom vanity was so low... the top of it came to my mid thigh... I really don't understand the height of this! The ancient/gross shower head, really?! No ice maker in the fridge... all ice trays empty. Old school cheap coffee maker/pot. Ok, hopefully I've painted a picture for you. Vacation rentals aren't cheap, spend your hard earned money elsewhere. This is the worst beach vacation rental we've ever been in. The owners should be embarrassed/ashamed to rent it in this condition.

Vacasa great to deal with. Toilet plugged 1st day and dishwasher wasn't bolted to the cabinet and tried to call off wall when opened. However, maintenance guy was there on less than an hour to fix both issues. Property is worn. Bed was comfortable. Bring your own hair dryer.

Great location

Only positives are the location & unit size. Needs to be updated. Mattresses & sheets were terrible & the air conditioner in the one bedroom was so loud when it cuts on would wake me every time so hard to get a good nights sleep😞
