A very nice, friendly, well-priced budget hotel. Staff is very friendly, good breakfast, clean/spacious rooms, well-located. Not for sophisticated travelers, though!
Clean, spacious room with balcony, excellent bathroom, good A/C, overall great value for money. Very short distance to Metro, taxi stop and convenience store right outside the entrance. Reasonably quiet for the location. WiFi worked well. My only complaint would be that the hotel is quite old and it shows, but it wasn't a big deal to me.
The staff couldn't speak English, but they were kind and courteous.
The room was clean and spacious.
Since there are only stairs, it might be a bit tough if you have large luggage.
There are two convenience stores right below the hotel, many restaurants nearby, and it's very close to the subway station.
Good budget option. Initially disappointed to be told the price had almost doubled since reserving, but still represented good value. Helpful chaps on the front desk. Nice, fresh, simple breakfast. Good location.
Les points forts : Personnel et service et confort de la chambre
Good budget hotel but in need of general improvement. Some lights on the room not working. Room had a balcony but no table or chairs to be able to enjoy it.
The reception is very good, very clean room. The staff was kind and very helpful. I would like something more in breakfast as jus or salad.
You have to precise that you can take coffee and thee whenever you want in the bar 24/24.
They didnât speak English at the property but we used translator to communicate. They were very pleasant and warm welcoming. It almost felt like you were staying at a home and not a hotel. Breakfast was great and there is Turrkish tea available at all times. If you are looking for an authentic stay with a great hotel staff stay here. Everything is within walking distance.
Excellent service, friendly staff. Bedclothes and towels smelled and felt very clean. Mattress was a little soft for my liking, but thatâs just personal preference. Manager was happy for me to leave bag and collect it later. Breakfast was good and served from 7 am. Unlimited tea and coffee available throughout the day. Hotel in very good location near train station and near ticket offices for bus companies which give transfers to the bus station. Is also on Metro line.
Merkez Hotel Izmir is a great hotel to stay in Izmir. It is within short walking distance (15 min max) to Konak Square and Sea Front where you can have wonderful time relaxing. There are numerous options to shop and dine (breakfast to late night dinner). Merkez Hotel Izmir is a nice and clean hotel. I initially booked for 1 night, thinking I may like to stay elsewhere for my remaining 3 nights in Izmir. However, upon my first night stay at the hotel and checking the surroundings, I immediately decided to extend my stay at Merkez Hotel. Staff are great and helpful. You can enjoy tea and coffee all day at the hotel. Breakfast is simple and clean. Various transport facilities are within short walking distance. I highly recommend Merkez Hotel Izmir.
Very serviceminded staff, but very limited English. Clean room! Okay breakfast with bread, butter, jam, vegetables and cheese. Nescafe, water and tea available in the lobby day and night. Hard bed!!! We had a balcony but no furniture to take out there. Rough neighbourhood near Basmane station. A supermarket and restarants just outside. Walkimg distance to city centre.
I have stayed in over 200 hotels in my lifetime and I have stayed in my fair share of budget hotels but this has to be the worst budget hotel I have ever stayed in in my entire life. Okay⊠so the good stuff: close to Konak town. 2) friendly staff. The bad: 1) flooding shower tray and broken shower handle and head. 2) tap/faucet hanging on by a three and broken 3) generally unclean all around 4) fridge is at least 30 years old and has mould and black dirt inside and smells musty. Doesnât appear to have been cleaned in the recent years. 4) double bed and pillows very hard and uncomfortable.
