Ok. This is a hard one to rate as it is a ranch so many things are as expected of a ranch and not necessarily of an accommodation like a hotel, motel, or resort. The 3-stars reflect an overall opinion. We had two rooms in different areas of the ranch. Both were very clean and comfortable. One of the rooms (the one away from the lodge) had wireless issues and a fan/light that needed repair, but other than that, no complaints.
The complaints were (1) staff, and (2) restaurant.
Regarding the staff, they were not friendly or helpful and made the stay much less desirable than it should have been. For example, my wife went down for breakfast, and she was the only one in the whole place (it was early). After the staff member messed it up, she was going to correct it without making a fuss and asked for a second empty cup (paper cup). He told her "No" and walked away. She thought he was joking, but he wasn't. Wow! For dinner the night before, they were out of more things than they had. They were even out of beer and wine and what seemed like 1/2 of the menu items.
Checking in, the person was not friendly at all. This all just detracted from our experience. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the stay due to it being a ranch and the beautiful views.
As my wife put it as we were leaving, if they don't want you to come, they should just take down the website.
