Overall, the place was clean and comfortable for our needs. We appreciated the touches such as gas for the grill, laundry pods, and ample amount of linens. We were looking forward to sitting peacefully by the river, however, the next door neighbor is doing construction on their house so there was loud sawing and hammering from morning until late evening. In addition, the neighbor blocked our access to the driveway multiple times with the many cars of their contractors and house guests. The patio was also infested with ants crawling over all the furniture. We had a pretty good stay but the construction and difficulty parking put somewhat of a damper on things.
Our family of four LOVED our stay in Buckâs Cabin. The house had everything we needed and the location canât be beat. We were walking distance to town and a short drive from the park, local attractions and the grocery store. The location on the river was just beautiful.
The cabin was exactly as advertised -- beds were super comfortable -- and lot's of supplies. The view was amazing and we were able to sip coffee in front of the fire and spot deer on the hill across the water each morning. It really was perfect, and literally close to everything. We could have walked to town if it wasn't so cold.
We absolutely loved staying at this location!!! The cabin felt like I was in my own cabin in Western North Carolina, with many of the same appointments and comforts. Itâs clear the place is well loved and we really hope to come back someday.
We loved the location and view of the cabin. The view was exactly what was advertised and did not disappoint. We enjoyed watching the ducks and geese in the water. The walk into town was short and nice way to stretch our legs after a day of hiking. My recommendation is that the rugs in the house are replaced or cleaned as they all had stains on them. The kitchen and bathroom floors needed a good cleaning. And although we only had one vehicle the neighbors parked in our second spot and partially or filling blocked the driveway.
