This was our first visit to Lake Martin and our group included 10 people, 3 generations. All of us truly enjoyed the house and its location. Outside areas felt secluded and private, with level grassy areas and very few steps to navigate. Dock and floating mat were nice for swimming and fishing. We caught several bass during our stay! Cruise to iconic Chimney Rock didnt take long. Very convenient boat rental from nearby Boondocks/Bay Pine Marina. We pulled kids on tube behind the boat right in front of the house. The firepit outside is HUGE and we were happy to find firewood stacked nearby so we could enjoy smores at sunset one night. Inside, the house was spacious with lots of different areas to spread out, but still plenty of room to all gather together for meals and conversation. 3 teen boys enjoyed the bunk room downstairs with their own TV, bathroom and access to patio for night fishing around the dock light. Two kings share the jack/Jill bathroom on main level... nice that 1/2 bath is just outside the bedroom doors for additional toilet, sink. Elderly parents enjoyed the well-appointed master bedroom upstairs. An elevator is available... ask in advance about using it. Game room came in handy during a rainy day. We played lots of pool and younger kids enjoyed arcade games. Beautiful views, gorgeous sunsets! We had a wonderful stay! We do recommend you bring beach towels and ask for linens if you plan to use extra sofa beds.
