For the price, this was an acceptable location but I don't think I'll repeat it. The biggest issue was the musty smell. It seemed to have been closed up for some time. It was off-putting. Additionally, the shower took some getting used to. The oversized, and mineral-stained shower curtain was odd. Fortunately, I am small enough in stature to actually fit in the tiny corner. Communication and service was great. Dean
This little guesthouse is quite adequate for a single person needing a short-term place to stay. I stayed here for a couple of weeks while relocating to the area and searching for a more permanent home. It is in a very quiet neighborhood (but there was some noise from someone doing lawn work and sawing - a neighbor perhaps - on a Saturday when I wanted to sleep in, a little annoying, but unavoidable). The owner was very speedy in getting back to me when I checked-in and inquired about the wi-fi password. The guesthouse does have a very, very tiny shower. I can deal with small spaces just fine, but others may need to consider whether a shower smaller than a phone booth will work for them. Like everywhere in this part of the country, air conditioning is a necessity. The window unit a/c works just fine, but some guests may want to bring ear plugs to offset the noise from the unit while sleeping at night. Because of Florida's high humidity and its interaction with woodsy environments (indoor and outdoor), you might bring a scented candle with you to light from time to time. There is a sports bar with a fairly decent menu within walking distance, as well as a gas station with made-to-order sandwiches and other items. Overall, it was a reasonably good stay. I would stay here again if the need arises.
This small studio is conveniently located in Jacksonville not far from St Johnâs river and 15 minutes from the beach. The host is very nice and quickly responded to any issues.
