Overall the property is very nice. The location can’t be beat. It is a real luxury to be right on the beach and the property is close to everything you need to enjoy the area. A couple of things irked us. First, the management company left literally no household items for us to use. Not a sponge in the kitchen? No shampoo in the shower? Not a spec of condiments in the kitchen (no salt or pepper even?). I have stayed in hundreds of properties and never had a complete absence of essentials. A real pain and very unwelcoming.Second, the house is showing signs of age. Everything works ok but it is rusty, dated and a little yucky. I guess if they updated the property they would have to charge a bunch more so I should be happy?

We enjoyed our family time and the location was perfect, clean and right on the beach, a few items were the shower pressure was to much in the 2 bathrooms and odd in the master bath, also one of the boards on the walk way to the beach is rotted and broke thru , but over all a nice place and we would stay again as we visit family once or twice a year.

Birthday vacation with my family

We went to Fernandina for my 60th birthday because I used to go as a kid with my family and I have wonderful memories. I wanted my grands to make great memories there as well and I think they did. The house was perfect for us. The beach is right there at the end of the boardwalk. I wish we’d had more time there!

More than paradise

Before we even left I was ready to make our next reservation. Property is well kept up, it was better in real life than it was in the pictures. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was there that we needed. Was perfect for those that just wanted to walk down to the beach and those that wanted to head into town.

Great location right on the beach!

We had a wonderful stay during a long weekend. The space worked great for our extended family to stay with us for a destination wedding that took place on Amelia Island. Everything clean. The owners were great at communicating. Kitchen was well equipped. The only thing I'd say is the master bedrooms's shower fixtures are quite dated. But everything functioned well. I'd certainly recommend this rental to others and would come back anytime.

Very clean and perfect beach access and view

The property was impeccably clean, and there were plenty of towels for five ladies. It was a plus that each of the three bedrooms had its own full bath. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary items, and the freezer has an icemaker. The beach access was wonderful, and the deck had plenty of chairs for us all. The surrounding homes were very quiet, and our stay was quite peaceful. The view was phenomenal.The parking holds two cars, but it is not side-by-side parking. It really wasn't an issue for us.

Great location and beautiful views

This was an excellent choice for the 5 of us and our dog on vacation in January in FL. It's a short boardwalk to the beach, and very close to restaurants and the bike and birding trails. Seemed very safe and neighbors were quiet or not there due to it being January.

When we first got there, there was a ton of trash that had not been picked up outside the unit and when I reached out to the manager, they said we would deal with it on Monday, which was a few days from that. And then it took a couple days to get picked up, which made it hard for us to put our trash out . They do seem to have an issue with bugs. When I got up in the am there was at least one or two Palmetto bugs (or roaches) in kitchen and upstairs. House is on the beach, but you cannot see over the dunes as it sits pretty low, that was unfortunate. The thing you look for when renting a house on the beach is to have a very good view of the ocean and the tide coming in, however from the upstairs and downstairs all you can see is the dunes, the boardwalk, and the far out Ocean. Outside of being able to walk to the beach, we could have stayed across the road and had the same experience . I like it to be very clean and the upstairs could use a good cleaning or maybe even remove the carpet and use area rugs. All in all, it was OK. There were a couple issues that came up while we were there that the hosts did respond to quickly but we more than likely will not be staying here again. It appears to me then instead of cared for as a home it was definitely something that was purchased for business purposes and could use some more TLC. The people next to us, and I both agreed that several of the rules required of the guests were outrageous given the state of the units.

Good Stay

All in all, a good stay and we enjoyed our time in the townhome. The house is clean, it is in a good location, the beach is literally just across the bridge, and it provides you access to all of the amenities in Fernandina Beach in minutes. I rated it a 4/5 due to just a few items: - It needs a little love. The bridge is very old wood with nails sticking out, etc. - Carpet in rooms is older and has some minor stains in areas. It’s definitely clean and you can tell but it’s an easy fix for the owners - we have small children and there was a book shelf that was (at one point) mounted to the wall but no longer is. I had to move it into the closet for the week to avoid a bad situation - Multiple times ants got into the house and into our beach bag left by the back door. Do NOT leave snacks in your beach bag by the back door (even if it’s just goldfish in baggies for kids) The good definitely outweighs the minor inconveniences above as reflected by my 4/5 rating. We felt very safe here and my family of 4 with 2 tiny humans (age 3 and 1) had a very good time. One other note: they had all of the kitchen utensils you would need to cook, pots, pans, etc. except a can opener. Additionally, there isn’t a pantry to store non-temperature regulated foods like chips, bread, etc. so plan for that when you’re at the grocery store

Close to everything

We just finished a week stay and the condo was wonderful - plenty of room, beach front, comfortable, and close to everything (dining, shopping
.). The up and downstairs patios were great for enjoying ocean views. The property management team was wonderful! Helpful and attentive but not intrusive. Good communication! If you’re looking for a relaxed stress-free vacation, this is the place for you.
