Enjoyed our abbreviated Spring Break in Big Canoe. Plenty of room for 2 families at this house (we were 4 adults, 3 teens and 1 dog). We swam at the indoor pool at the Wellness Center, brought spike ball down to the Beach Club (which was kind of closed for renovations), ate at the Black Bear Pub at the Clubhouse (twice - good food), rented a pontoon boat at the marina (electric motors only, slow but good enough for fishing), went over to Dahlonega (25 minutes away) and raced go karts and had lunch at an Shenanigans Irish Pub there. At the house we played pool and sat in the hot tub every day, watched the Final Four on the big screen in the indoor/outdoor hot tub room, and had a real fire in the fireplace every night. The adults enjoyed having a cocktail by the fire table on the back deck, and the kids hooked their xbox up to the big screen in the pool room (we saw it would rain several days, so we allowed them to bring). Host is very responsive. Love that they had firewood for us to use and that they have multiple spare gas tanks in the basement in case the 2 fire pits or the gas grill runs out. Big Canoe is a mountain community - some steep roads with sharp turns, but is super quiet and very well kept.
