Owner was very responsive. I really appreciated that. The check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The space is a second floor apartment with a little bathroom, 2 bedrooms which were super comfy with great linens, and a kitchen area with a couch and tv. I thought it was cozy. The address was changed up a few days before which really threw us off because we had planned out a walking route to and from our friends home and we needed to add a few blocks - it wasnât a huge deal but misleading. Iâd suggest if the owner doesnât feel comfortable giving out the exact address, an accurate cross street would be preferable vs a totally different address a block away. Jersey City doesnât have a lot of options for hotels so we are grateful for the availability of apartments like this. It reminded me of my first apartment in college. And made me feel like a local.
Good check inn and good communicating with owner. Clean house.House is really tiny for 5 people (but thatâs to expect in NJ). House is somewhat neglected. Shower is broken, bottles of shampoo/body wash are empty, kitchen has very few utensils. One pan, 4 plates and 4 glasses for an apartment for 6 people. Kitchen is not equipped for cooking. House has very minimalistic decoration in general. And providing only 4! Towels for 5 people for 4 nights is too minimalistic for me and very inconvenient for us as guests. So will not hire again.
The apartment is laid out very well and is extremely clean. The beds are comfortable, temperature control very good. Hoboken is a 30 minute-walk through safe, clean neighborhoods. The Light Rail (lots of access to touristy areas) is 6/10 of a mile (warning - there is a mountainous staircase between you and the train). I recommend this for a small family or friends get together. As the property is on the second floor - may be difficult for folks with mobility issues. We enjoyed our visit very much!
This was advertised as a travelerâs dream to get to NYC in 20 minutes. It took us over an hour from Penn Station and same from Grand Central. The walls were paper thin and so were the floors. There was constant clomping and running and barking till all hours. It worked for 2 couples but there was no where for us to sit if we wanted to make a dinner. I was told there were K-cups, there were none. If the description had been honest I would have given it a better review. Sorry but Iâd rather spend the somewhere else. In addition the light over the sink was broken so you could t put on makeup and the 1 towel provided was so thin it was hard to dry ones self after a shower.
