Vacasa sent us directions to the lake house we cancelled instead of the new one on the river, so that caused some issues after driving all day (376 miles). It was upsetting but once i contacted them via text, they verified they made an error and sent the new directions. Still, we wasted a good hour trying to figure out the incorrect directions and everything. Thankfully, the correct cabin was beautiful as were the grounds and the beautiful raging river! It was a wonderful place...once we got there.
Beautiful location on the lake with amazing views. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and the private dock is nice. The beds were comfortable. I wish we had the entire house but some areas are private. The house is old, so you hear everything going on around you inside. The short driveway is steep, scary, and hard to navigate.
Property is older and could use an update but love the rustic look of the interior. Had everything we needed for our stay, including linens, cookware, etc. Our biggest concern for this property was the neighbor, who owns the home nearest this property. He was loud, let his large dog come over to our dock and on the property. Noisy at night well after quiet time began. Donât think he lives there full time but did not appreciate his disregard for others.
Gorgeous views from this lakefront home. Has a wonderful porch with table, chairs, and gas grill. Great dock. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal.
There is a private bedroom which is off limits to renters, which was not mentioned in the write up of the property.
The driveway down to the property is steep, requiring a sharp left turn once you have descended the driveway and you will need to back up in the driveway to park and be positioned to head out of the driveway in order to get up the hill. Definitely would need a 4 WD vehicle in the winter to get in / out of the driveway.
Communication with VACASA was difficult, as I was left on hold for 6-10 minutes and finally hung up. It was difficult to get through to speak with a live person. I was finally able to get through by dialing the local Oregon office of VACASA. VACASA prefers to communicate by text which is not particularly helpful when you need an immediate answer to a question. Not sure if this is due to a worker shortage.
The place was overall kept up well, but there were lots of small little things that made it unsatisfying. There was no propane for the bbq. Dirty towels and a nasty, sticky, food covered oven mit. The dishes were dirty. The worst part though, was that we found tics in the bedding.
The dock is great for fishing and to tie up your boat. The kitchen was stalked with just about everything you need. Nice deck with a BBQ. There is no room for your boat trailer so we parked ours over at the state park for $5 a night, worked out good.
Great stay, great location, beautiful place! The only real down side was the upstairs bathroom was missing the door going into the room. Iâm sure this was just a temporary issue and that the fix was being worked on, but not great when you are expected to share the bathroom with another couple. Fortunately we were all family and the downstairs bathroom had both doors with and locks that worked, so we made it work.
Overall, nice place on a beautiful lake!
Beautiful spacious home on the lake. Large deck overlooking the water with a dock. Comfortable beds. Lots of room for everyone to spread out. We will definitely stay here again.
