Iâm not sure where to start⊠I was in town for a celebration of life. Waiting for the checkin information, she was late sending it. Very unusual for VRBO hosts. Then shortly after I arrive at the property, I get a text from her telling me that she will have people âtouringâ the property over the weekend. Ummmmm, Iâm sorry, what?? Iâm hear with my small children, not cool. The house states it was two king bed suites (false). The house has one king bed and the other room has a king headboard with a queen mattress. The beds in this property were stiff as a board. So hard that I literally checked to make sure it wasnât a box spring I was sleeping on. Sheets were stained, as were the towels. The house was FILTHY. When I say FILTHY, I mean it. It smelled like vomit and fried food. There were splatters all over the walls, baseboard and furniture. Some of the rooms had large holes in the walls or sliced up drywall. Missing baseboards throughout. The doors were broken as if someone punched them. Everything was broken. The fridge and freezer had broken handles. Dishes were dirty in the cabinets. Pots and pans were falling apart. It lists the kitchen as fully loaded, could be further from the truth. The cabinet had old used fry oil in them, expired food and empty salt shakers. It was a very cold weekend (15 degrees at night). The heater could not keep the house warm. The water heater also could not produce enough hot water. This house felt like a neglected college dorm. Too trashy!
