A nice hotel for a nice price! Great lobby and gathering area for large groups wanting to visit or play card games in the evening. Right next to Walmart too in case you need anything (as well as many restaurants).

Great value!!

Better than expected for the money. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Breakfast was not expansive but they had hot and cold options that were good and for the price of the room any breakfast is surprising.

No one was at front desk for 10 minutes when we got there and they gave us no information, only made sure we put a $100 deposit down for a 1 night stay for incidentals… rather excessive. No ice in machines, weird pillows that were tiny, inaccessible electrical outlets next to bed.

The Hotel was very nice and clean Shopping is next door I walked over to the stores and the balcony was fantastic and just relaxing the hotel staff was very friendly!!

Kansas Visit

We think some improvements could be made.We arrived on Wednesday, the ice maker on our floor was not working. After talking with other guest the ice maker had not been working all week. It was not until Friday that it was functional. This was very inconvenient. The TV programing was not only awful the channels were not in sequence with the guide and several channels did not work, just a black screen that would flicker some times. The bathroom door would not close. We were offered another room but being a married couple we chose to keep the balcony room (the reason we chose this hotel) rather than switch. The couch in our room was very worn, near breaking on one end and extremely uncomfortable. While the room/furniture was in need of updating we enjoyed the room space and thought the hotel overall was okay for the price. Although we have the before mentioned complaints, the staff, their friendliness and helpful nature made our stay for the most part enjoyable. With family in the area we will be visiting again and may stay at Sonesta Essentila at least 1 more time to see if any improvements have been made. We would like to think that the hotel is in the process of replacing furniture, repairing things needed and updating TV programming service and we were just unlucky in getting a room that has not yet been redone. Not very clean

Looked good at first and checking in was a breeze. Once we got in the room we noticed mold around the entire bathroom ceiling and walls. Plugging in a hair straightener made a hot smell come from the outlet. Pool looked really dirty. Guests came to breakfast barefoot and a toddler in just a diaper.

Poor choice

Booked a handicapped room. Asked at check-in and assured it was. It wasn't. The property was not maintained. Front walkway cracked and needed to be swept. Safety concern for elderly with a cane. The trashcan at the back entrance closest to our room was overflowing when we arrived (not welcoming!) And still nasty when we left. Breakfast was pitiful. And no one around to restock or clean up. Offered cereal but no milk in the fridge! The name Sonesta used to stand for quality!
