It was amazing to find the place and then we found it and it was in the jungle plants everywhere. It was absolutely beautiful and it was like a bed-and-breakfast so it was pretty nice. Coffee was good. Food was good and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
"A stunning and unique property, tucked away in a breathtaking forest. The hosts were exceptional, and the coffee and breakfast treats were delightful. The hot tub provided the perfect relaxation after a full day of snorkeling."
The B&B isnât as excellent as I thought or read about. Maybe my expectation was too high, as I read rave reviews about it and then booked it. Hosts David and Miriam are friendly and helpful. Compared with another B&B we stayed during this trip, this one feels older, smaller and less privacy. The location is good, around 12 minutesâ drive from Kona downtown. Parking is free. Yards and gardens are well-kept and relaxing. We didnât use the hot tub. Overall, I think the property could use some remodeling.
What a charming place to stay. Our hosts were so thoughtful. It was close to everything and provided us a feeling like we were in the country in the hills. It was perfect!
This place is a gem. Itâs not too far from Kona Airport. We stayed in the Japanese tea room which is a very unique stay. Itâs a very comfortable spacious room that has a very comfortable queen bed, nice t.v. With Amazon Prime, YouTube and other options for viewing entertainment, a BIG bathtub and a separate shower in the beautiful bathroom. The awesome part of this place though is Dave and his wife Miriam! They let you use basically all the amenities their property has to offer from the nice kitchen which has pretty much all ya need to cook your own meals (youâll need to clean up after yourself), a jacuzzi, and in their common area Dave always has coffee ready in the morning you just hit the brew button and multiple teas are available as well. Miriam every morning sets out some baked good and fresh tea in the morning as well to get ya going. If you stay at this property you will go away feeling like you lived in Hawaii for your stay and not visiting like you feel in a normal hotel room. Very Wonderful Experience! Thank you Dave and Miriam.
A true treasure in the hills of Kona. An old style inn tucked away in wooded neighborhoods. Old but well renovated interiors and a wonderful lanai to sit watch the birds at the feeder and drink wonderful coffee. Just a short drive into town and the beaches but in the quiet hills.
We absolutely loved our stay here. From breakfast on the lanai to nights in the hot tub, this place has everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
This property is not a hotel you have no privacy you donât have your own restroom you share the living room, the kitchen, the dining room, the restrooms with other people this place itâs very high on mole Iâm allergic to Mole they are not reasonable conscience for the people that stay and donât stay there they donât respect your health wise Had trouble breathing because of the more conditions that they have itâs a home itâs not a hotel
This property has absolutely stunning grounds. Full of gorgeous plants and colorful birds. The only complaint I could possibly have is that itâs a bit warm. We had the cheapest room and it did not come with an air conditioner. (So maybe the other rooms do have A/C) It does cool down a bit at night (youâll have to keep the windows open and the ceiling fan running) but the humidity and the swampiness just canât be fixed without an A/C. Again though, this property was a great stay, fresh baked goods and fresh fruit in the lobby in the morning. Dave and Miriam are very sweet people and most importantly, we felt very, very safe here.
Wonderful B&B with great hosts! The Japanese teahouse room was lovely, the grounds were beautiful, & there was delicious Kona coffee available every morning, teas, & homemade goodies. If I'm ever in Kona again, would definitely stay there again!
So much natural beauty. The lack of a/c is an adjustment, but it never gets too hot here. Very nice owners and free local tea and coffee in the morning.
This is an oasis of tranquility in a sea of chaos - the parable of a ship finding shelter from a storm comes to mind. Great morning coffee and a cozy place to drink it. The Inn is centrally located, only a short drive to many landmarks and other points of interest. The hosts could not be more welcoming.
The hosts, David and Miriam were great. We felt welcome and at home. Charming property, very homey and beautiful surroundings. We would be delighted to stay there again when we are in Kona. Aloha and mahalo
