The owners are kind, personable, professional and truly do want to create a positive experience for their guests. The included breakfast at their restaurant in town is EPIC! (You get a free breakfast included with each night's stay) We will be returning to this hotel every visit to Kamiah!

The owners were a lovely older couple. We checked in late and they were very accommodating. The room was very clean and nice toiletries available. The breakfast at their restaurant in town was fantastic! You can use the breakfast voucher for a couple of different choices of breakfast, or you can its dollar value towards any meal of your choice, up until 3 pm. Great place to stay, would recommend!

The property is seclude and has beautiful views, very quiet, no squeaky floors or the stairs and had an elevator in the motel . Room was very spacious. Very clean, huge jetted tub. Furniture is very nice, can sit in the chairs and not sink half way to the floor. Staff were very courteous and very helpful. The owners have a restaurant in town that serves up an awesome breakfast at a discount. Kamiah is 2 miles away. This is the best motel along the Hiway 12 corridor from Lewiston to Missoula.

This was my 2nd stay with Hearthstone. They are always very helpful and want your stay to be comfortable. Beds are so nice, rooms large with coffee and fridge. They overlook the clearwater river. Grounds are well kept, lodge is clean and beautiful.

Mellisa is a very lovely person. Aces from beginning to end. She was accommodating, helpful, kind, and so friendly. The property is gorgeous and the room was comfortable and spacious and the jacuzzi spa tub is the biggest tub I’ve ever seen. Everything is top notch. Clean. Comforting. Quiet. Lovely. Warning for non-Xtian travelers, there is Xtian material throughout the lobby which was a little uncomfortable. Overall a nice stay, the highlight of which was Mellisa.

The drive still had snow on it, was not cleared. It's a steep accent without snow wouldn't be a problem. No one was at the front desk, had to go knock on the house next door to check in. Not the service that i want, won't be going back. Offered free breakfast at the Bakery 5 minutes away I left my voucher in the room . I ate there great food and service.

Warning for winter conditions

The entrance to this location really needs to have a sign that advises travelers that a capable 4 wheel drive vehicle with traction tires is required to attempt to enter. It is not mentioned anywhere, nor did they post a warning after they already had a recovery truck rescue another guest that almost slid backwards off the cliff to the the road below. After that, they truly should of marked the entrance with a warning to inform guests that may be arriving. We got stuck after the first sharp turn, up a very steep hill that steadily increases in steepness. I have lots of backcountry offroad experience and Military driving experience in horrible conditions, so I was prepared for a self recovery effort with the right equipment on hand. Traction boards, shovels, emergency equipment etc. It took me over an hour to get up the hill the last 50 feet.
The entrance is left of the sign and the road switchbacks and gains steepness quickly.
