The pictures posted on both websites of the Expedia and Kaslo Hotel, show that the King Room with Lakeview is on the upper floor(s) with good view of the lake.   When checked in, we were surprised to find out that our King room is located on the main (ground) floor instead of the upper 2nd or 3rd floors. It is the only one guest room adjacent to the restaurant kitchen, and the balcony (patio) of our room is facing directly to a large propane tank and the utility box.   The lake view is at eye level instead of overlooking the lake.  The guest room is separated by the exterior door that we didn't hear sounds from the kitchen.  But quite often, we bumped into kitchen staff when we walked in/out of the guest room.  There is another guest room next to us but is now being used as an office. The attached pictures should show the location of our guest room and the obstructed view which is different from the pictures advertised on the booking. As I paid for the full published price for the 2 nights,  I didn't expect that we were given the most "neglected" room in this hotel.  I had asked to speak to their manager to voice my concern but don't think my message is ever delivered to the manager. I had investigated this matter with Expedia and appreciated the efforts of their customer services to reach out to the hotel for my concern. Hope my honest reviews will bring attention to Kaslo Hotel to make changes in their booking for Expedia's customers.

This hotel is beautifully renovated with large rooms that have lovely detailing like large windows and crown moulding. The downfall was the condition of the carpet in our room. There were many stains and it was quite dirty. We enjoyed the restaurant as well As the patio

A modern hotel that looks like it’s been there….

Get a balcony on the lake side nice. Great rooms. Seriously. Good bar. Ok bar food. Friendly staff. Pricey but the nicest option around.. we’ll go back
