The unit was dated and some of the amenities in the unit did not work. It was to accommodate 6 and there were 4 bath towels that someone took from a Motel 6 a couple of years ago. The gated community was friendly and clean.
Great location with respect to attractions (snorkeling, etc), restaurants and groceries; great sunrise and sunset views; property is very quiet/serene; straightforward logistics for checking in and checking out.
The condo was all it was advertised to be. 2 very nice bedrooms exceptionally clean and provided with everything we needed. I thought it had the best location on the Lagoon, steps from the observation deck where you could see swarms of fish several good size Tarpon several Parrot fish and hundreds of others. You can swim and snorkel with all these critters. We walked around the lagoon with a flashlight at night and spied several large lobster and yes two Octopus about a foot long harmless but cool. No complaints hope to return next year
Great location. Thought the master BR had its own bath but it did not. Half of us ended up using downstairs small shower. It was very windy for 3 days while we were there and the hurricane shutters made a lot of noise at night. A little dated. Overall it was a great trip.
Excellent communication from the host to guide check-in, all appliances top notch, kitchen outfitted with good range of dinnerware, small appliances, pots and pans etc, residence comfortable and lagoon and pools great fun. Host provides bikes, tennis rackets, games and many other things for family activities.
What a lovely place to stay in the keys. Our family loved the canoes and the pools. Beds were really comfortable. Thank you for having us. We would absolutely stay again if visiting key largo.
The listing stated a futon downstairs. The pictures showed furniture that I assumed was a pull out sofa rather than a futon, which was fine. However, the furniture in the unit was not as pictured and there was no bed downstairs. I messaged the owner who did not get back to right away as he was overseas. When he did get back to me, he said a previous guest destroyed the futon and there was an air mattress in the closet. I would hardly expect us to blow up an air mattress and have a 75 year old woman sleep on it. So she slept on the couch. That is something that we should have been alerted to before we got there. And the replacement furniture was hardly new. One side of the couch was broken down.Other issues were a bit less important, but still annoying. No coffee pods, the coffee container in the cupboard was empty. No little snacks usually left by the owner. No tea kettle. No gas in the grill. No bath soap. No hair dryer in either bathroom. Both baths had only 1 1/2 roll of toilet paper. And the closet with the snorkeling equipment and games was full of the air mattress and cleaning supplies. We were not going to go digging through that mess.We enjoyed our stay because the location was very nice, but if we were to stay in the Kawama Yacht Club again, we will find another unit.
This is in a prime location in Key Largo. You could literally never leave the property once you buy groceries. The pool was warm and clean. The lagoon was right outside out back door. You can feed the fish and swim with them also. The unit was very clean and well maintained. It has a full size washer and dryer. The only thing we didnt find was a blow dryer but that was no problem for us. Also, they is wildlife on property that kept us entertained. I would definitely stay again.
