We had a wonderful stay at Sunset Sanctuary. The place was incredibly clean which is an amazing feat with such a big place. We had 4 families and the 2 sets of grandparents (ages 63-3 years). There is a high chair and pack n play available. Lots of ice to cool those drinks. The walk-in pool is perfect for the little ones. We didn't feel like they were unsafe around the pool even though there isn't a fence. The reason being there are heavy glass doors on each of the floors to the stairwell and the outside doors are too heavy for them to open on their own. We had a boat and no issues with the dock. An amazing place to rent for your vacation! We will definitely be returning.

Not an "ultra-lux" rental

My family and I recently returned after spending a week at the "Ultra-Lux Oceanfront Home." The large house and immediate surrounding area of the property is nice. My family had plenty of space. The elevator was a great asset. We spent a lot of time in the pool, used the kayaks, outdoor barbeque, the Billiards table and enjoyed the sunny weather. Upon arrival the entry code I was provided did not work. A couple of days later I became concerned for the safety of my family when we discovered painters tape was placed on the gate sensors keeping the gate open. There are many maintenance issues, the water periodically shut off, and we were frustrated by the lack of response from any manager/employee. This is not a “Lux”rental in its present state. Despite the annoyances, we enjoyed our time together as a family.

Amazing Property

This was an absolute wonderful vacation. The property was beautiful and much bigger in person. Had almost everything needed as far as amenities. Have kayaks on the premises which was great as we actually had brought our own not knowing. Has all the cooking essentials (appliances, pots, pans, plates, utensils, spices)...kitchen is a dream! Views are breathtaking. Make sure to bring extra paper towels and slip free shoes (marble floors are very slippery). We didn't use the elevator as it didn't seem very stable and we really didn't need so we got in all our stair climbing and walking during our stay. Sofa and chairs could use an upgrade as they were not very comfortable but the beds were 5 star as was the jacuzzi tub and showers. And it has a sauna which was also incredible and not mentioned. Wish there was a hot tub too but not necessary. Also would recommend a master guide of how to work all the electronics and appliances. Surround speakers didnt work by pool but you could put on the patio loud enough to hear. So many lights and switches and some were labeled but might need to add more labels. Overall 5 star property. Responsive property owners which was great for the few questiins we had. Very clean and worth every memory made!

Wonderful for Family Vacation

Beautiful house with lots of space and amenities. Perfect for two families with kids of all ages. Enjoyed the kayaks, pool, pool table, and the marine dock was very convenient for our boat. Hope to be back again.

Wonderful stay!!

We had a wonderful stay in March - two families of 4 with children ages 8-14. It goes without saying that the home and property was plenty of space for everyone. The house was clean and well appointed with everything that we needed. Highlights were the gourmet kitchen, terrace, pool area and pickleball court (many competitive kids vs parents matches were played!). The area is also great for kayaking if you like to get out on the water. The location was great for getting in/out of the Keys, and having a quiet space to come back to away from the hustle and bustle of busier areas. Communication with the host was good and we had an amazing week with no issues. Highly recommend!

Amazing house. Great stay!

We had a great time. 10 family and friends for three days. Not sure about the other reviews but everything worked perfectly. Kitchen had more than enough utensils and items for cooking. Elevator worked great and was helpful for suitcases to third floor. We didn’t need to contact the host but they were very responsive with questions before we booked. All the beds were super comfortable and pillows too. Overall a great stay. Decor is definitely dated and no hot tub is a bummer. We would stay here again without a doubt

A week in Paradise

Our family of 9 stayed in this lovely home for almost a week. We had EVERYTHING we needed available and then some. The home is very spacious and inviting with plenty of amenities. Loved that there was so much room even with all of us, we never felt like anyone was “under-foot”. Beds were super comfortable, and the house was nice and clean. The most amazing sunrises were enjoyed up on the large patios. I would definitely recommend this home. The pictures of the home are spot on.

Beautiful view and property!

This was an amazing property! Lots of open space and room. The views were amazing! Elevator for convenience, kitchen was spacious, pool was amazing and the gated home was safe. We cooked quite a bit there and the fridge and freezer separate were perfect. Nothing negative about the stay. Only small but not major issues were just saucepans and pots/pans were lacking in terms of cooking for 9 of us but we figured it out :) Temperature of shower in master was hard to figure out so couldn’t do hot showers in master bath but we survived :) Everything else was wonderful.

Fantastic fun in the sun

Beautiful big house in a great location. Best sunrises from the top deck. Kitchen is amazing. Location is great, you are in the keys but only 15 minutes from Homestead, you can get deliveries from BJ's and Walmart. Kayaks are great for adventures. Pool is top notch we were in it everyday. Thanks to Whitman for a great vacation.

Problems from day 1

Our vacation was from January2nd-January 10th. I have met/spoken with the following people to fix issues that came up:Ray.multiple times to fix the stove. 6 plus hrs onJanuary 3rd. They were there until 6pm. Thenthey figured out they had the wrong part and thusRay also had to return Monday with the correct part.Karysa the property mngr..i called 6 times until she quit around January 4th. She didn't provide much help at all.Bravo..fixed loose floorboards, fixed 1 door of 4that did not work, rebolted dishwasher.Joel..tried multiple times to fix the pool heaterand finally succeeded after 4 days.Brandon, the general contractor..and I talkedand texted him multiple times. He said the nowater/low water pressure and possibly no hotwater in certain areas was due to the local waterauthority and/or something was blocking thewater flow to the house and that's why we didn'thave any water at various times. He confirmed thiswith his engineer.Vicki..owner..and i spoke multiple times and youfelt embarrassed and apologized. She was kindand told me that her previous property managerRob had quit and that Karysa quit as well duringour stay.We didn't have a stove/oven for 3 days.We couldn't use the pool for 4 days.We lost all water multiple times and even duringlaundry and showering times.Doors to the deck and balcony didn't work.Dishwasher issuesHeating system issues and co and smoke detector issuesI would not stay here again unless all these issues were fixed.

Our stay at this property was absolutely magical—words and pictures simply don’t do it justice. I feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced such a remarkable place, and my family and I created unforgettable memories that we will cherish forever. The property truly felt like paradise, with breathtaking views that were nothing short of unreal. We didn’t feel the need to venture anywhere else because everything we could have hoped for was right there. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the amenities struck the perfect balance of convenience and thoughtfulness. A special mention goes to Rob, the manager, who was exceptionally kind, helpful, and responsive to all our questions. Karysa from Whitman Vacation was equally amazing and made the entire process seamless. If you’re considering a stay here, don’t hesitate—it’s an experience you’ll treasure. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We just returned from our amazing weekend at this property. The home is even more beautiful than the photos! Yes...it is exceptional! We loved our stay and hope to return. Very very clean; pool was very nice with walk-in feature on one side and the kitchen was to die for---a full-size refrigerator and freezer. So many features. Book this home--it's a must see!

Probably would have been a great stay if Rob the property manager hadn’t been rude to us

The house had two catastrophic events happen right before our stay and during the stay. I feel like the property manager tried to be accommodating in the beginning, but got frustrated with the situation and then began being rude to us. The house flooded due to a faulty toilet pipe and an electrical fire almost started in an outlet. The power and AC went out as well. None of this was a result of us being there. In fact, we stopped further damage from happening. I just wish the management had been more empathetic to it being our vacation with our family and less rude. I wouldn’t use another Whitman property due to his demeanor. The house is beautiful.

Everything from the property to the property management was a dream come true! This property is fabulous and staying here is even more so! We had Chef Drew (private chef) come prepare a meal for us at the home and he said he has always wanted to see this property and it didn’t disappoint!! He is correct the house was as AMAZING as the chef (not included 😊)! The home and views exceeded my expectations! Any questions we had the management team quickly answered and was always extremely kind! We are looking at dates to return!
