Pro- we love Kiawah island and have been before and were excited for this trip.
Con- The apartment- no blinds on the large sliders. Found some dead ants and toilet paper on the bed.
Management- We have been really looking to getting away with our dog and enjoying this beautiful area but it was challenging to get into this mindset. My husband and I were appalled by the unwillingness of this management company to work with us on either receiving a refund or rescheduling our trip. We are from the Asheville, NC area which was just devastated by Hurricane Helene on September 27th. It took over a week for our power to return and even longer for stable cell service in which this company informed me that I should have contacted them sooner to reschedule or receive a refund. To reiterate- we did not have power or reliable cell service to do this due to hurricane devastating our area. To add insult to injury- they wished us safe travels to Kiawah Island even though I asked to cancel our trip. They offered dates to reschedule that was one week later and the middle of the week in November. They refused to offer me any dates beyond that. So unfortunately we had no choice but to travel and go on this trip. Originally this weekend was chosen because my husband had off on Monday, but due to the storm, was now required to return to work on Monday and this company refused to even refund us for ONE NIGHT. I hope this company can take this review and really reflect on their policies.
