We mostly had a very good experience. The view really is that good and the place is nice. The kitchen had everything we wanted. This is in easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops, and very close to the dock for tours.We only had one problem. I had mistakenly mixed up on the checkout time, as everywhere else we stayed was 11:00. They cleaners came at 10:00 but my son thought they were trying to sell something and didn't understand them. Then Larry called to let us know. He left a VM telling me that I needed to go read my contract and we did too need to be out that day (I guess the cleaners thought we were planning to stay another day? But we certainly never told them that). I called him back and explained that we would be out quickly, just had a mix up and had thought we had another hour. He was rude about it and threatened a fee for every 30 minutes we were late. It was very much not in the aloha spirit. It was a simple mistake and we were out within 10 minutes of the phone call. There had been an email with the checkout info, but I didn't even see that until we were back home. I definitely was not checking my email while on vacation. So it was overall a good stay except for the last few minutes where the host had the chance to extend some grace they were rude. I am sorry for the mistake and understand that the cleaners were there standing by so maybe it was stressful for him, but I think he could have done much better with this situation.
