When we arrived, the unit reeked of gasâan immediate safety concern. The back door was missing a handle, which meant we couldnât lock it and had no way to secure our belongings. There were stains all over the floor, and the furniture was extremely worn and outdatedâeasily 20 years old. We asked Vacasa to move us to a different unit, but they refused. They said they would refund one night as a compromise, but never followed through. After this experience, I will never book with Vacasa again.
Really enjoyed the ability to walk right out and have the beach, water, a grassy area, the pool and a shower for rinsing off right there. Also, nice to sleep with sliding doors open, and fall asleep to waves crashing. The unit needs some updating, especially the balcony furniture. Didn' spend much time inside.
We stayed at the Mana Kai 25 years ago on our honeymoon and returned to celebrate our anniversary. Absolutely love the location and feel of this resort. The beach is great for swimming and snorkeling and the grounds are clean and beautiful.
The room was great, nice kitchen with everything we needed and very comfortable bed! We will be back!
This location canât be beat. We swam at the beach every day. The condo has every thing you need and is well stocked. We liked the store in the lobby and the view!!! It is older and showing some wear. It is not fancy but it meets all your needs,
The perfect spot for my family of 3. Hope this units available our next trip to Kihei! The beach is amazing and the condo came with everything we needed.
In future, you might remove the unusabe lamps, boxes of paint, extra deck chairs, vacumn cleaner box etc. I have rearranged the closets, so as to more space for our personal things. Perhaps clean out necessary items from underneath the kitchen sink. Otherwise the unit was pretty clean, but it would be nice to have a spray bottle of cleaner like vinigar and water, to clean the deck furniture, tables, toilet, sinks etc. 3.5 weeks is a long time without these items. Thanks you Deedrie
We enjoyed our stay in the Ocean front condo on the beach at Mana Kai. Check in via Vacasa was a little confusing as the national office said they emailed us with the check in door code but nothing about the code was in the email. Only when we texted did we get a lovely response from the local Vacasa representative with the check in code
Unit is a bit worn with no updates in many years. Furniture on the Lanai should be thrown out as the glass table top was fractured in several places and chairs were very worn. Two beach chairs were functional but so old that carry straps were worn through. All told we enjoyed the location and view. Local Vacasa representative was very responsive to our needs.
I loved that we were able to open the glass door to the balcony and close the screen in order to hear the waves all night long. It was so soothing. The view from the condo was amazing as well. Walking distance to food and bars and shopping was also great.
The greatest weakness is - was - the communication for a first time user. I arrived after hours ( unexpectedly) - I had to figure things out . Annoying after 25 hours of travel and delays and countless other âproblems).
The location of the room was fantastic! There used to be a restaurant, but not right now. The unit was fine and had everything we needed. Would recommend replacing lanai furniture, and bathroom door.
We were surprised to learn the two restaurants on property had closed, did not have a car and weâre not advised if this.
The activities director on property was fun & knowledge.
Unit 211 is too low, and too far away from the view down the beach, and it was noisy with the daily parties below with children. The furniture on the patio was inexpensive plastic and the table was dirty. Inside furniture was worn, which did not show on the pictures. Door of bathroom needs to be repaired in the bottom. Safe did not work, but got repaired. Bathtub was very slippery, but a mat was brought in after request. I would stay on property again, just not in this unit.
I lost a pair of navy flip flops with a star shaped sparkle between toes. Can a lost & found department check to find them?
I was in the middle of wedding plans when the email came to remind me to pay the 2nd half 39 days before our stay. Had I missed that, it would have been cancelled. I would have appreciated a phone call, or our honeymoon would have been ruined.

We booked last minute and were surprisingly happy with this condo. It was clean, comfortable beds, stunning views, stocked kitchen, and a closet stocked with boogie boards, a cooler, and snorkel gear. We will be back!
